Are we really all that surprised? I mean, really. J.Lo did this a few months ago when she squashed that unflattering interview that got leaked anyways. Tom Cruise's PR people did this years ago.

True. They've earned in excess of $20 million selling pictures of their children to the rags. And they only have $7-8 million in committed/actual donations? That makes their "we whore out our family for charity" and give 1/3 of our salary to charity declarations total BS.

I watched How to Lose Friends and Alienate People the other night. There is a scene where the X Files Lady plays a publicist and wants the main character to write a puff piece about her client. He says that he will not embellish and will write the truth. Her argument is that her client adds some "starshine" and this sells the magazine. Quid pro quo. Since Angelina generates top sales, it makes sense although it is BS. Mind you its all BS.

I thought brangeloonies were just an established subspecies of the genus fantard? No big news there.They seem to be dying out in droves recently, but a few hardier specimens are still surviving in longtime habitats like JJ's, etc. We may even have one or two hiding out here, emerging into the light only to fire off a few defensive retorts before returning to their burrows. I haven't read this thread but the headline did make me wonder as to why Angelina wasn't painted as the evil homewrecker in the press. Beauty, big box office draw, Brad?
I read elsewhere that when the story broke she turned on motherhood and told the press that she wouldn't do an interview but that she'd be with Maddox somewhere if they wanted to take pictures. It all seems so long ago and the press just keeps going and going.

I wonder if she'd been unattractive or been like a Monica Lewinsky type would she have been written about differently.
