Yeah, he isn't a has been. His movie career has been pretty good, plus theres the Oscar nomination for The Departed. I love Mark and it would be annoying to have paps around your home like that just for your neighbors.

Why do the paps want to follow the Beckhams around anyway? She's a washed up poser and he's an aging soccer player. Soccer isn't even a big thing over here. I'm surprised anyone gives a crap about these two.

Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he hates living near David and Victoria Beckham.

You're right.
All Becks has is his looks (no grey matter there)........and all Posh has is him, They live for the 'razzi attention.
Wahlberg is down-to-earth and doesn't want stalkers with cameras following him and his burgeoning family everywhere. I admire him for having the balls to say it.

Ever seen "The Big Hit"? He was horrible in that - it was a terrible movie of course, but he did nothing for it.

He has very limited skills ... he was good in "The Departed" cause he was basically playing himself I think, and he was lucky that "Boogie Nights" was such a great movie cause no one noticed how bad an actor he was. I didn't think he was all that great in "Huckabees", except for that one line ... "Word".

Here's the review from "The Happening" I read, and on reading it again - you were spot on - the guy blames Shamawhatever in the end:

The most obvious fault in "The Happening" is the acting -- in particular Wahlberg's performance. I'm saying this with no hyperbole, but Wahlberg might very well give the worst performance I've ever seen in anything. He's that bad. His character is a passive aggressive high-school teacher and each line in delivered with nasally whines that sound like some strange parody. As bad as the rest of the movie is, Wahlberg is the part that the internet is going to eat alive. But is it really his fault? Wahlberg's proven himself with "I (Heart) Huckabees" and his amazing turn in "The Departed". I can't help but feel that Shyamalan -- intentionally or otherwise -- is ultimately to blame for forcing some truly awful line readings.
