^ Yes, that is the real problem. She only has one look (dowdy) so she needs to work on that for parts.

    And she's always looked older.

When she was 4, I bet her face looked a good 16.

World According to Garp - Glenn Close played Robin Williams' mom, even though she was only 4 years older than him in real life.

Three years later, she is in "Fatal Attraction" playing the insane love interest of Michael Douglas, who is three years older than her in real life.

Yes! Sofia Vergara is in her 40's and she would be cast as a mid-life-crisis-age man's love interest. She's exactly the type. Maggie is not.

Makes sense, I don't see how the character could be 36 unless she had her daughter in her teens. I would assume Elaine was about the same age as Benjamin, who would be around 22 as a new college graduate. Maybe a few years younger, but of legal age anyway.

I could definitely NOT see Doris Day as Mrs. Robinson!!

I think it depends more of their look than age in some cases. Maggie isnt attractive to me, someone like Charlize, Cameron Diaz, or Sofie V would be cast to play the wife of a 55 yr old actor

Maggie could look younger than 37.

I know 67 year olds with more youthful looking hairstyles.

I hate this attention seeking behavior. Either name names or keep quiet.

When Russell Crowe made Robin Hood in 2010 he was 47. Producers wanted a twenty something Maid Marion but he refused to accept anyone not age appropriate. He campaigned until they agreed to sign Cate Blanchett who was 41. Most of the time Russell is a douche but on this occasion he was kind of a hero.

I just saw Draft Day recently and I kept thinking 'Ew! Jennifer Garner is too young to be Kevin Costner's girlfriend! That's gross!'

Yeah I was thinking that it was the producers "polite" way of telling her she's not hot enough for the role. If it was Jessica Chastain or Rose Byrne it probably wouldn't be as much of an issue.

Didn't know that, he has gone up, slightly, in my estimations.
