I was just trying not to sound like I was being assumptive about all people in all places. I do believe that as long as their are people that can afford multiple homes, country clubs, private school, boarding school, music and art teachers, camps for everything, nannies, housekeepers and drivers there will be parents that raise their children with the same attention they give to their shoes, luggage and other personal accessories.

I'm no Madonna fan, but what does it say about Guy that he didn't fight for custody. He must know she's a terrible mother but he came out in defense of her last week, suggesting she should have been able to adopt Mercy.
|
I doubt she's a horrible mother. I am sure she makes sure that the kids' needs are met and so forth. Perhaps during the time she spends with them she gives them her full attention. I just think...she sounds like she's a pretty selfish parent and her plan to adopt Mercy seemed like a way to make herself feel better, younger, etc. A kid is not a new puppy that you get to cheer yourself up, FFS.

Sounds like he would have had plenty of ammunition to win custody of those kids or least keep her and the kids in London if he could prove that he and the nannies were the primary caregivers. He may be poor in comparison to Madonna, but he's not too poor to retain a lawyer and fight for his kids if she's been neglectful of them, especially when he has household staff as witnesses.

How do you know he didn't fight? The papers are sealed.
He got a LOT more visitation that most fathers who only normally get weekends & a day during the week in the UK. (So my guess is that he did fight - plus doesn't Lourdes also get to see him even though she's only a step-child - doesn't that speak volumes?)
He's also rumoured to have purchased a place in NYC so that he can be near his son.

Yes, I see what you mean
I've worked as a nanny for some people like this - some moms were involved in their childrens' lives and some were self-involved narcasists (sp?)

I hope this isn’t true for the sake of her kids. A lot of showbiz mum’s neglect their children IMO. In Madge’s defence she has always come across as a rather good mother. Who knows?

I feel sorry that they have such a self-involved narcissist for a mother. It's who she is though. Hopefully they'll overcome it and write wonderful tell alls.

And people pay how much to spend more than 3 hours with her in concert? CRAZY.

I thought I heard that the custody agreement has not yet been hammered out/settled. Guy and Madonna have a divorce decree but not custody yet if memory serves right.

Oh like she's not emotionally retarded. Just ask her kids.

I thought that the UK stuff was finalised a day or so before the trip to Malawii but because she's chose to live in NYC something has to go through the courts there too..... and your court papers aren't sealed like ours are.

I also agree that he got a lot. But I think the kids themselves might have had a hand in that. They aren't going to not want to see their dad, much as Madge would love to have it that way.
And for all we know Madge might have something on him. Maybe that strap-on she bought from the sex shop wasn't just for show.

Vadge WENT TO THE GYM HOURS AFTER HER ADOPTED BABY ARRIVED FROM AFRICA..A CHILD WHO DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH AND WAS THROWN INTO AN ALIEN ENVIRONMENT. THIS IS NOT A CARING OR MATERNAL WOMAN. THIS IS A WOMAN WHO PUTS HERSELF FIRST.
Any success with those kids will be due to their carers, not Vadge.
