Yep. If you don't NEED to work, give the job to people who need to. Since you said 'don't need' to work, which I assume means they're financially well off and can live comfortably on one income. Taking money that could be going to people who actually struggle to live, and liking their career over staying home and being there for their kids is pretty selfish. No offence... that's merely my opinion.

The definition of SELFISH. I hope this haggard hasbeen (and yes, she is a fucking has been, give it up.) consults the nannies before she adopts more kids she doesn't intend to take care of.

As for Madonna going to the gym hours after bringing the kid home- so what. Kids need time to get adjusted to their surroundings. I'm not even in support of Madonna adopting children but I hate it when people act phony and pretentious in judging other people's lives. She can afford a nanny and she has to keep up her appearance in order to continue the career that allows her to pay all those people. I don't think Madonna is any worse a parent than the average 2 income family who is lucky to spend 1/2 an hour with their kids. Of course everyone on this site, between posting shit about Madonna and others, has time to bake cookies with their kids gathered round in the kitchen and spends every night singing songs around a fireplace.

I'm baking cookies, posting here, watching telly and making mad passionate love to mr. butt. Multi-tasking is the way of the modern world. Oh, and for Vadge to go to the gym a few hours after the adopted kid arrived in her home is absolutely the definition of selfishness. I know after a long day at work you need to de-compress but really, the kid flew from the other hemisphere, was thrust into a totally new situation and she decides getting even more gristly than she already is takes priority. She's a piece of work, that one.

It's no good even consulting the nannies as they've all walked out and David is already having to adjust to that.
If she eventually gets Mercy, she'll have to employ another team.

I absolutely agree. She can miss one bloody day at the gym and not go totally to pot. How ridiculous.
She adopted that kid to take the negative attention away from her rocky marriage and make herself look good. She didn't do it because she wanted to be a mother.
"This song is for the emotionally retarded," Madonna told the crowd ...
Gee, how hypocritical of her.

Vadge WENT TO THE GYM HOURS AFTER HER ADOPTED BABY ARRIVED FROM AFRICA..A CHILD WHO DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH AND WAS THROWN INTO AN ALIEN ENVIRONMENT. THIS IS NOT A CARING OR MATERNAL WOMAN. THIS IS A WOMAN WHO PUTS HERSELF FIRST.
Any success with those kids will be due to their carers, not Vadge.

Great post Butt.

i don't want to sound like i am defending her because i don't understand why people have children that they have no intention of spending time with but her lifestyle is not much different than a lot of people who also have children.

Her lifestyle is extremely different from the average working single 50 year old mother who would not be buying young children from other countries.

I don't think that "the upper east side" represent "a lot of people" tho - I don't think that any number of "normal" people would relate to their lifestyles either.

it would be one thing if she didn't get to see her kids cuz she was working her ass off at her own business or 2 jobs to keep them afloat or pay off their mortgage or something like that, but she's missing out on her kids growing up and they're missing out on having a mother b/c she's too busy with yoga and excercises and her appearance and image! she's successful already w/ plenty of money. a decent person would put all that other shit aside and be with their young kids till they were adults, and then she can go back to the business of Madonna.
don't any of you supporting her see that?!

^^^EXACTLY, thank you Alice!!!
"IT" disgusts me. Of course, this is nothing new. I found her disgusting when she was young and faintly cute, too (she always looked like she must smell of armpit sweat, unwashed vag and cheap hairspray.) The ugliness inside has always been apparent and now of course she is REDEFINING the phrase "aging badly"!
She's narcissistic, crass, vulgar, stupid, selfish, deceitful, greedy, neurotic, unhinged, controlling, obnoxious and an utter attention whore of the lowest and more vile type. She makes Joan Crawford look like June Cleaver to me. I think her kids are LUCKY she avoids them. Here's to the long-suffering nannies! *TEAM GUY*
And if Malawi relents and lets her take Mercy, well...just ugh!!! Geez I hope they stick to their guns!

I'm no Madonna fan, but what does it say about Guy that he didn't fight for custody. He must know she's a terrible mother but he came out in defense of her last week, suggesting she should have been able to adopt Mercy. Sounds like he would have had plenty of ammunition to win custody of those kids or least keep her and the kids in London if he could prove that he and the nannies were the primary caregivers. He may be poor in comparison to Madonna, but he's not too poor to retain a lawyer and fight for his kids if she's been neglectful of them, especially when he has household staff as witnesses.

You'd think that Warren Beatty knew that BEFORE he hooked up with her,
but of course he used her as much as she used him. Still, their relationship
left us with this wonderful quote of his on her:
Quote:
Warren Beatty said about Madonna:
"She doesn't want to live off-camera, much less talk. There's nothing to
say off-camera. Why would you say something if it's off-camera? What
point is there existing?"

Fair enough but then I give it to those women with both barrels as well. Have kids? Help raise them. That doesn't mean you can't have a life of your own but you have to give them SOME priority.
