What annoys me about this is that Kabbalah is NOT Jewish, it's a cult bastardization of the Jewish religion. I think it must be really insulting for Jewish people to have to listen to Madonna's smug preachiness when she's in no way speaking on their behalf. It is a bit insulting. On one hand, I don't have a problem with her celebrating Hanukkah. On the other I think, gee, what kind of Hanukkah are they telling her to celebrate, and how? I object to the celebKabbalah religion itself but not the fact that she's celebrating -- I have to assume that they celebrate it for the same reasons as I do, in much the same manner. So I'll gladly say it's cool for her to celebrate Hanukkah.. until someone tells me what celebKabbalah has done to the festival to bastardize it. Kind of an innocent until proven guilty thing, I guess.

Here, we give gelt (money) and gifts to each other for eight nights. Presents aren't banned, they're actually fairly traditional things to give. So is chocolate, thank goodness.
