I think he's still sexy. I love to watch him perform.

Mick Jagger is the epitome of rock and roll...he should grow old disgracefully!' Jo Wood says Rolling Stone needs to move on
By MARC ANDREWS and DAILY MAIL REPORTER
    PUBLISHED: 00:52, 13 July 2014 | UPDATED: 00:53, 13 July 2014

As someone who has been part of the Rolling Stones' inner circle for some three decades, Jo Wood knows the band's lead singer Mick Jagger very well indeed.
After the devastating death of his partner L'Wren Scott, reports emerged that Mick had taken up with three separate women in order to get over the pain of his loss.
Jo Wood, who was married to bandmate Ronnie Wood for many years told The Mirror that Sir Mick should get his satisfaction anyway he likes to.
'This is the only life Mick knows after all these years,' Jo told the Sunday Mirror's Steve Doohan. 'He’s the epitome of rock and roll. He will always have a wild streak, but I say good luck to him. He should grow old disgracefully.'

Jo, who is 59, said that when she turned 70 she hopes that she will still be going for it AND going out with guys. She said that people shouldn't expect someone like Sir Mick to be sitting in a rocking chair.'

It was reported that Sir Mick bedded two women in a hotel in Sweden following a tryst with 27-year-old ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick in New York in June.
Sir Mick's antics did not sit well with L'Wren's family, coming so soon after her suicide in March, but Jo said that Sir Mick's behaviour is more than justified.

While admitting that Sir Mick has grieved over the loss of L'Wren she also noted that he had to learn to live without her.
With that in mind Mick and The Rolling Stones got back on their long planned world tour and carried on making music and performing in huge venues around the world to their fans' delight.
Jo also admitted that she can see what the appeal of Mick is, despite him being 70 years of age, especially when he performs on stage.

Twitter friendly: Jo posted this photo of herself on her Twitter

Saying that he remains as fit as ever, she noted that he trains for a few hours every day to keep himself in tip top form. She also pointed out that he eats the right food and makes sure that he looks after himself.
Jo became a close friend of Sir Mick's after she married Ronnie Wood in 1985. He left her for 21-year-old waitress Ekaterina Ivanova in 2009 after 26 years of marriage.
The pair divorced in 2011 and Ronnie married theatre producer Sally Humphreys in 2012. Sally, at 36, is the same age as his daughter Leah.

Jo only recently met up again with her former husband when their son Jesse married TV presenter and radio One DJ Fearne Coitton in one of the biggest showbiz weddings of the year.
Describing her former husband as looking 'knackered', Jo added that she doesn't hold any grudges now some five years after their divorce.
As to her own romantic life, Jo said that nothing is happening on that front at the moment and that she hasn't met the right one yet.'

With eight grandchildren it appears that her life is busy enough as it is.
On top off that, this week Jo will return as a panellist on Channel 5's chat show The Wright Stuff.
She added that she is keen to talk about food and to revolutionise people's eating habits.

Mick Jagger's age could help insurance claim over L'Wren Scott's suicide

The Rolling Stone frontman is seeking a $12.7 million insurance payout for 'acute traumatic stress disorder' in wake of his fashion designer girlfriend's death — and a legal expert tells The News he has a case.

A legal expert says Mick Jagger’s age could be a major factor in whether or not an insurance company will be forced to pay the Rolling Stones singer $12.7 million in a claim over his girlfriend L'Wren Scott’s suicide.

Mick Jagger's septuagenarian status could be an important "wrinkle" that helps the aging rocker wrangle an insurance payout over girlfriend L'Wren Scott's suicide, a legal expert said.
A group of underwriters is fighting a $12.7 million claim by Jagger and the Rolling Stones saying the shocking suicide was an "intentional act" likely tied to a preexisting — and therefore uncovered — mental illness, federal court paperwork filed in Utah and obtained by the Daily News says.
The 71-year-old legend, meanwhile, claims there was no way to foresee Scott's suicide, and his resulting grief spiral led his doctor to diagnose him with "acute traumatic stress disorder" and tell him "not to perform for at least 30 days," according to a copy of a UK lawsuit filed by the band and obtained by The News.
The iconic band canceled seven concerts in Australia and New Zealand after Scott's death, leading to the claim.

"The insurance contract is for his performance, not hers. And given his advanced age, there's a greater range of things that reasonably could affect his stamina, stress-level and ability to perform. The bar is much lower than it would be for a 21-year-old," contracts expert Zev Eigen, a visiting professor at NYU Law School, told The News Monday.
"This contract was about his ability to get on stage and perform demanding physical feats. Sure he's spry and awesome for a 71-year-old, but there's simply a greater range of things that could prevent someone his age from performing," Eigen said.
He called Jagger's age an "interesting wrinkle" in the case.

The underwriters are now seeking personal text messages, emails and written correspondence between Scott and her Utah-based brother and business adviser Randall Bambrough from the six months leading up to her death.
They want "all correspondence relating to any treatment obtained by Ms. Scott for depression," according to filings in Salt Lake City.
They're also asking for all documents relating to the cancellation of Scott's London Fashion Week show in February and her "financial situation."

He's got to be using massive amounts of Viagra? Hard to believe a 70 yr. old boning everything in sight without it but it may be possible for Mick, or maybe he's into other stuff too.

Apparently even after one major and one minor stroke my seventy-something stepdad is still *ahem* functioning perfectly well without any medical intervention. (You can thank Ma Kitty for that piece of oversharing. And no, I didn't need to know about that kind of thing at their age either ).

Eh, maybe it's heartless but this is about an insurance contract. From what I gather, the band took out a policy to cover their financial losses in the event they were forced to cancel shows because of certain health reasons, death, or unforeseen "tragedy" involving named family members. Looks like the insurance company is trying to deny saying the suicide wasn't covered or "unforeseen." Or that Mick's "traumatic stress disorder" shouldn't have kept him from performing. Bottom line, they had to cancel shows, people (not just Mick) are out money, and they paid for an insurance policy to cover it. They have every right to make a claim to recover their losses. It's sad that her issues have to be dragged into all this, but it has nothing to do with her family. They seem like a bunch of whiners who are pissed off that she left everything to rich Mick instead of them.

^^ This. If L'Wren's family want to be pissed at anyone then they should be pissed at the insurance company for dragging up old mud to wriggle out of the claim. The policy itself probably wasn't cheap and staging the kind of show Mick & co put on takes a lot of people, a lot of equipment and a lot of logistics and if something happens to stop the show they still need to be paid, which is exactly why there is such a thing as an insurance policy. This wouldn't just be Mick Jagger out of pocket, it would be the entire band.

Suzy Menkes: Mick Jagger Donates L'Wren Scott Scholarship
    16 JANUARY 2015 Suzy Menkes

L'Wren Scott may no longer be present at London Fashion Week. But a three-year scholarship programme in memory of the late designer has been donated to Central Saint Martins fashion school by Mick Jagger, L'Wren's long term partner.
The American born designer, who committed suicide in March 2014 at the age of 49, will be remembered by the fashion world for the elegance she carried in her person and her work.
It was a chance meeting at the British Fashion Awards between L'Wren and the late Professor Louise Wilson OBE that inspired the gift from Mick Jagger, who was knighted in 2003.
The legacy will be an award for one MA student each year to cover fees and part of their living expenses.

Fabio Piras, course director of MA Fashion, praised this contribution. "I am very grateful to receive this extremely generous scholarship package, gifted by Mick Jagger in L'Wren Scott's name," he said. "Our students sacrifice much to take up this course and work extremely hard while they are here. I am very proud of the fact that this course, through its alumni, continues to be recognised as a major contributor to the future of the global fashion industry."
Although L'Wren first showed her collections during New York Fashion Week, she then moved her shows to London. I shall remember her both for her striking shows at the Gagosian Gallery in New York and the way that she brought an increasingly artistic vision to her work, channelling Gustav Klimt's paintings - but never forgetting to make clothes for a modern woman's life.

It really stinks that the insurance company is fighting the claim. The insurance policy they took out was for just this reason and the company should pay up.

Can't get no satisfaction? Mick Jagger 'flies ballerina girlfriend Melanie Hamrick 500 miles for hotel romp on Rolling Stones US tour'

    By MAILONLINE REPORTER
    PUBLISHED: 11:46, 13 June 2015 | UPDATED: 16:46, 13 June 2015

Mick Jagger flew his 28-year-old ballerina girlfriend Melanie Hamrick 500 miles across the US so he could whisk her to his hotel after a Rolling Stones gig, according to reports.
The veteran rocker - who sparked controversy when he was seen embracing her on a balcony just weeks after his girlfriend L'Wren Scott's suicide - paid for the dancer to fly from New York to Ohio.

The Satisfaction singer, 71, arranged for Melanie to jet in on a commercial flight and watch the Stones play at Ohio Stadium in Columbus late last month.

The ballerina was kept out of the limelight after the concert as she was quietly driven by chauffeur to Mick's hotel, but was in plain sight at the gig.
A source told The Sun: 'Mick's been very careful about keeping their relationship quiet. Organising for Melanie to be chauffeur-driven on her own to his hotel is a perfect example.

'But he seems to be relaxing about her presence in public.
'She certainly wasn't hidden away at the gig. She was in full view of everyone.'

Moves like Jagger: Mick, pictured at a Stones concert in Florida on Friday night, is said to be becoming more comfortable about Melanie being seen in public

It's official: Melanie, pictured last month at a gala in New York, was in plain sight at the Rolling Stones Ohio gig

Melanie, who performs with the American Theater Ballet Company, met Mick at a Stones concert in Tokyo weeks before L'Wren Scott, 49, committed suicide last year.
Scott's family were furious when a photograph emerged of Mick and Melanie embracing on a balcony in Zurich, Switzerland, 11 weeks after L'Wren died.
Her sister Jan Shane called Jagger's behaviour 'grotesquely disrespectful,' but her brother said he had nothing but warm regards for the rocker, whose love for his sister he 'never questioned'.

Sources close to the Stones frontman say Mick and Melanie were not in a sexual relationship until the Zurich trip.
The pair are rarely seen together, but were pictured leaving an upscale building in Manhattan in March before getting into a car.
