IIRC, one of her dogs was very elderly. She chose to leave him behind in when she moved to the UK. I think he was left with a friend in Canada I remember her saying her vet felt his health was too poor to travel.

But she was photographed walking (both of) them when they were living in Canada? No?

I would *never* fly a dog anywhere.
I know that the staff in the UK cargo sheds treat them well but the flight, the cage, the whole thing. No, just no.

I'm sure she's not the first and won't be the last to ghost Piers Morgan. But we know very well why he's focused on her.

Im the first to shit on people for disposing of their pets when theyre inconvenient (crisp rat) but we had to do the same thing with our elderly lab and it broke our hearts but the vet was adamant that at her age she might not survive a transatlantic flight and that it was more humane to find her another home. This was right after my dad died and it killed my mother (and the rest of us) to have to make that choice but we had to do what was best for our dogs wellbeing. So we gave her to our tennis teacher who adored her and who was her unofficial sitter because he would always take her when we went on holidays.

^ That was great you were able to leave her with someone you (and she) knew. When I look online, the senior rescue dogs always get to me. There are always sad stories (owner died, etc) re how they became homeless.

I'm not gonna lie, the decision still haunts us over 15 years later but the rational part of me knows it was the right thing to do and I know she spent the last part of her life happy and loved and cared for in the austrian countryside.

Maybe she dumped Piers because she realized how horrible a person he is.

I just want to know what the emerald tiara looked like and why they didn't know where it came from.

    ^^^^
i think quite a few pieces in the crown jewels have unknown or even murky origins, so they aren't worn in public anymore to avoid scrutiny as to how the royal family acquired it.

'The Queen also questioned why Meghan needed a veil for the wedding, given it was to be her second marriage', the source alleged, adding that: 'Meghan can be difficult'.
how cunty and reactionary. but meghan's the 'difficult' one for wanting to wear a veil at her wedding in the 21st century when we've supposedly moved past such idiocies as virgin brides and/or thinking women who have been married before are 'tainted'?
plus, really, white dresses and veils are supposed to symbolise virginity, in which case cathy, eugenie, beatrice and pretty much every royal bride since diana shouldn't have worn one either.

I read Queen Victoria wore white because it offset the lace on her gown. She popularized a white wedding gown but it was often a status symbol as white fabrics were expensive due the cleaning/bleaching methods.

I think they probably already knew Eugenie was going to wear one which was beautiful. Usually royal weddings are planned a long time in advance.

But wouldn't that one not have been included for Meg to choose from?

^ Well, we don't know how the choice was made. I imagine it's possible to view part of the larger collection?

But also, given the huge choice of tiaras (in the vaults, not necessarily offered) it probably would have invoked too many comparisons for both to wear emerald tiaras in the same year.
