The weird thing about the Elvis sandwich I made is that I seem to remember the peanut butter overwhelmed the bacon and I think that's why I don't even really remember it being there.

I love bacon and eggs...salty, greasy breakfasts in general. But we used to get pork belly (we call it side pork) fresh from some place out in the country and just cook that like bacon, with salt and pepper, and make a dinner out of it when I was a kid.

I also love bacon and eggs. A lot. One of my favorite sandwiches is a BLT, but I like it with fresh basil and extra bacon.

I don't need to bring up pork roll, do I? Another favorite sandwich (I'd say top two after the BLT) is pork roll, egg and cheese with a little pepper. It's considered a breakfast sandwich, which is when I like to eat it. I do do breakfast dinners, but never with PR, E & C for some reason.

I just remembered ... I do like Dunkin Donuts bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant (very lightly toasted). They have what they call Canadian ham (no clue if it's regional or national), but it's much denser and thicker than pork roll. I find it hard to bite into without pulling the whole thing out of the sandwich. And I hate that outer skin that they leave on. I'm not a big fan of what they call Canadian ham/bacon ... it's got a much different taste than pork roll or regular bacon to me. Not a big sausage eater and I will only eat patties (I've seen the way sausages are made and ... barf) but I do enjoy a very occasional sausage, egg and cheese on a McGriddle from McDonald's (if you're looking for something more healthy from there for breakfast, I love their maple syrup, raisin and apple oatmeal). The salt of the sausage and the sweet of the McGriddle bun (for those unfamiliar with them, they are basically maple syrup infused into a little round pancake) just tastes so good.

and what that fails to mention is that we have this substance we call bacon that is identical to what Americans call bacon.

Bacon is good but sausage is better.
Over easy eggs and sausage on a toasted roll? I miss gluten sometimes (and New York)

No way, over easy egg with Bacon and cheese on a New York hard roll is to fucking die for. I feel like flying up just for the weekend to eat a couple.
*Edit* just for kicks I checked out airfare from Miami to jfk and it’s around $1000 for 2 round trip Friday to Sunday.

So, in other words, you'd die for a sandwich but draw the line at spending a thousand bucks on one?
