My favorite part of the bios was the following:

“We wanted to celebrate the 40 years of the Balloon Festival by bringing in national entertainment that people would remember,” said Balloon Fest organizer Kevin Behrens.

That people would remember? That's gotta hurt (Leann, not Night Ranger, they were probably flattered)

Did you also catch the name of Wewe's opening act at Balloon Fest? A band called JACKED UP. The jokes are just writing themselves......

When a Grammy winner is opening for Night Ranger at Balloon Fest something is wrong.

So you're saying Night Ranger's likely reaction was, "Leann WHO is playing this festival?"

Well, I'd prefer Sister Christian, but maybe they can play this one for her:

He wears his trousers real tight
And his skin is so white
    He lives beyond his means
    He wear Italian shoes
That are used to good news
    They walk behind the scenes
    He live a tenderloin life
    The street's his type
In the alleys where he's king
He got a grin on his face
He says he loves the rat race
    He always plays to win
    Eddie's coming out tonight

It's almost like they wrote the song with him in mind. LMFAO.

I must say that sang gave me the best laugh I've had this week. Now I have to go find something to wipe my tears of mirth with.
    Piss off!

I am happy to report I've never heard of Night Ranger and googling their songs I'm still none the wiser.

^ I must confess, I found the "Eddie" song by googling. But you've never heard Sister Christian? Featured in one of my fave movies, Boogie Nights.

This made me so happy.... And jealous, ChloroformCasey! I can't drink at all, (yes, it sucks, lol), but I would have wanted to hoot, holler, and dance on my chair for these guys.

(Would have been even more fun if my kids were there to embarrass. I owe them.)

Nope, and I've seen the movie. It just sounded like a million other bland 80s songs that I've either forgotten or never got played down here.

No arguments here. I'd much rather see Night Ranger.

I think the only reason I'd want to see LR is to be able to report back here. Get backstage... Maybe score a shart pic if I was lucky.

They certainly were but then again I was a teen in the 80's growing up in the Bay Area... Night Ranger performing at The magnificent concert by Bill Graham- Day on the Green. They were often made fun of because of their bubble gum songs but I loved them and Jack Blades. One of my fav songs was this song -the Good Bye song written by Jack about his brother who died from a heroin overdose. I still love this song With its awesome guitar solo and all of it's Bi-level hair band, lighter-waving cheesiness.

It was one the craziest most memorable scenes, when the guys decide to sell drugs to a fucking legit crazy, pre-meth era tweaked as shit dude, in blackie tighties undies and a robe, Russian roulette then excessive shooting ensues. Night Ranger's Sister Christian starts the scene, playing in the background on crazy druggie's mix tape. To be followed by a couple more 80s classics, which I will post next. Because Leeanne Rhimes is as boring as eating fucking organic hay.

And the continuation of druggie in robe's crazy ass scene...we have the 80's soap star AUSSIE heart throb Rick Springfield's Jessie's Girl on drug kingpin's mixtape! Follow by Nena and her 99 Luft Balloons. The 80s fucking were awesome. Period.
