Rimes does about 50 to 60 shows a year now.
    No she doesn't. Does she?

Why does LeAnn look like a sister wife in that first photo? Oh yes, photo was taken by Sara Hertel. It makes sense now.

It's unlikely she's doing 50-60 shows a year, even counting corporate gigs. She has 13 shows booked from today until year end. Most in small fairground and casino venues. By contrast, Taylor Swift is doing 54 shows in the same time frame.

I would think she probably does 30 a year on average, even counting her private shows. She has 2-3 per month the majority of times. Some months 1 or none.
I love how they say that she is 'touring'

She might schedule about 40 shows a year, but she cancels 10 due to various illnesses, reschedules 10 more for the following year due to her vacations, then shows up for 20 and reads her lyrics while lying on the stage floor ontop her nasty rug.

Brace yourself, everyone, for something truly terrible happened, some absolute travesty that will have horrifying consequences for us all.

Or, OK, it's not quite that bad, but it's for sure going to be very annoying: LeAnn Rimes, it seems, is in the process of writing a book. An actual book. If you've ever rolled your eyes at one of her tweets, just imagine that, but so much longer. It's not right, and it's certainly not fair, but it looks like we don't have a say in the things LeAnn does with her life, so, once again, we have to suffer her foolishness. The disappointments just don't stop, do they?

Here, read the announcement tweet for yourself:

Crazy weird... Taking my first publishing meeting ever after 20 years creating music Thankful for new opportunity #nolongerlockeddown

It's unclear what exactly she's publishing -- a novel, a memoir, a children's book, or a biweekly zine -- but knowing the way she works, it seems likely that this could be her very own book about Eddie Cibrian and the affair she had with him. You know, something similar to Brandi Glanville's book. A memoir of any kind sounds like the most probable route for her to take, and oh, our poor eyes are already weary from all the anticipated rolling.

I thought she meant music, I guess it could be a book she was talking about.

I would be surprised if a publisher would be interested, considering her dismal album sales, poor concert turnout, and horrible failure of a show. Unless she's self-publishing with one of those vanity companies.

I also took it to be about music publishing. Why would she mention being in the music business for 20 years, if this meeting is about publishing a book?

Whatever it is, we can probably count on her plagiarizing it.

    RIMES

Balloon Fest artists discuss motivation, musical philosophies
    August 09, 2015 at 11:13 am
    By TAYLOR EVANS

LeAnn Rimes reflects on early start in music industry

LeAnn Rimes’ drive as a singer never had anything to do with fame. From the very beginning of her two-decade career, the country music superstar and All Ohio Balloon Fest headliner has been about the music.
“I loved entertaining,” she said of her young self. “I loved being able to kind of escape through my music.”
Although life is not effortless, Rimes said, at an early age, she found music to be the opposite. The singer knew she had the talent to make it in a notoriously tough industry. She said she had “gut instinct” and a “desire” to sing.
Rimes broke onto the country music scene at the age of 11, at a time when music makers in Nashville weren’t interested in working with a child. Rimes said when she started singing, country music meant ballads about drinking, cheating and broken hearts.
“At 11, I didn’t think anything of it,” she said. “I’ve been singing all of these songs beyond my years.”
Rimes’ talent for singing beyond her years garnered accolades for her first national hit “Blue” in 1996, solidifying a then 13-year-old Rimes’ no. 1 spot on Billboard’s country album chart. She went onto win a 2 Grammy awards at 14 for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, according to grammy.com. She was the first country artist to win the Grammy for Best New Artist
Rimes called her career a “unique experience.” As a child, she didn’t know what challenges came with having a popular singing career taking off on a meteoric trajectory.
“You’re fearless as a child,” Rimes said. “You really had no idea what had happened.”
The artist had to learn certain skills to make it in the industry as she became more and more in demand.
“I had to, I think, develop a sense of disconnection in a way,” Rimes said. “I was working 24/7.”
As she grew up, Rimes gained new skills, ones she didn’t have while “doing this thing called adulthood at 11.”
Starting with “Blue,” Rimes has put out a steady stream of albums. Some of her most popular songs include “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” from her 2001 record “I Need You” and “How Do I Live,” which was on several of her records. She calls the latter a song that went “mainstream on accident.”
Rimes said with more than 20 years in the music industry and numerous albums behind her, the thing she most proud of is still having a career, being able to start a new chapter and have her head “somewhat on my shoulders.”
Part of Rimes appeal as an artist is her ability to crossover between pop and country. The singer believes the change from country to pop “is kind of a natural progression.”
“Country music itself has become not really country music,” Rimes said.
She added, “I think it’s naturally shifted because of the time.”
Rimes said her career and focus of her music has followed “the natural evolution of growing up.” Not only has her voice changed, she also has life experience. Now, she is also involved in every facet of her work.
“I love being everything,” Rimes said. “I’ve been blessed with that gift.”
In the last few years, the artist has “settled into who I am now.” First and foremost, she is a vocalist and a storyteller.
“I think I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be,” Rimes said.
While being settled in the present, the singer is looking to the future.
“I feel really good about where I’m headed,” she said.
Rimes has a new Christmas music project that will come out this year. The Christmas album is a follow up to her record released last October, “One Christmas – Chapter 1.”
“We decided to do a full record this year,” she said. “I’m really, really proud of the record.”
Since the Christmas album wrapped, she’s focusing on her next record. Rimes couldn’t give many details about the project because it’s still in the initial stages.
“It think it’s just now starting to take form,” Rimes said.
Rimes said she is working with different people. She is writing a record she believes pushes perceptions and boundaries. The record is infused with not only an edge, but also “a lot of confidence.”
“There’s quite a smile to this album I haven’t had a while,” Rimes said.
The upcoming album, she said, mixes her style with something completely new.
“I really do feel like, this time around, it’s such a rebirth,” Rimes said. “At 11, you have no idea who you are.”
Rimes will open the 40th All Ohio Balloon Fest Thursday, Aug. 13, at 8 p.m. Thursday’s concert is a separate ticketed event. Rimes’ presale tickets are $25 for general admission, $30 at the door and $50 for preferred seating (rows 3-20). VIP meet and greet, seating in in the front two rows and a Balloon Fest t-shirt are $125.
Tickets are available online at TicketFly.com, at the Journal-Tribune office, 207 N. Main St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and all Richwood Bank branches.

Dear lord, she uses so many workds and literally says nothing. So many plans and ideas and meeting and concepts, so little to show for it.

I hate this bitch ragging on country as a genre. She has never been "pure country" or even country lite. Ever. If country is no longer classic country she should be a super star, if she was ever going to be one.
