I assumed the tweet meant music publishing, not books. Isn't she already an 'author' of books ? So she'd have met with book publishers previously.

She could be trying to make a deal to sell her own publishing rights. Lots of artists do that when the money gets tight.

She did publish an autobiography and some children's books I believe. Lets hope she isn't trying to pen some awful coffee table book on her plagerized Chalk Talks. *Shudders*

She's just as bad at Tori Spelling. Can't she has just have alow-key family birthday like the rest of the planet? This is not a milestone birthday FFS.

Hahaha, you know she didn't want the public to know that she's out trolling for sponsors for her party!

I know artists who were starting out who where there when the recording studios open - I guess the only surprise is that L can't get a later recording time:

Shockingly, I also see these numbers almost every day - Some of them, I see TWICE a day!! I must be oh so special too.

LeAnn Rimes Facts ‏@LeAnnFacts 7m7 minutes ago #LeAnnRimes pays attention to numbers. She sees 11:11, 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, and 5:55 almost daily.

I just saw this answer to her great work ethic with going to the recording studio so early:

surf ‏@surfing2day 16m16 minutes ago @leannrimes @darrellbrown Rihanna has been spotted going to recording studio at 3am.

She's actually asking companies to sponsor a B-day party? I thought it worked the other way around, and sponsors came to the celebrity. Just saw that one of the Jenner girls who's turning 18 has a sponsor and is getting big bucks for it. Of course, her pimp mother probably worked that out. Can't Kiki and Barrel work something like that out for LeAnn?

Kylie Jenner is hosting her B-day party at Beachclub Montreal, and is reportedly earning $100k to $200k for her appearance.

I mean, one might be left with Pat Boone and the Singing Nun. Rock on!

You can't listen to them either, albeit for different reasons. Pat Boone is a rampant homophobe and a 'birther' and the Singing Nun broke her vows of chastity by becoming involved in a lesbian relationship and then committed the sin of suicide.

i just fricking detest that name 'homewrecker'. and not even to leann's defense. it's just such a stupid term when people think one person can go and destroy a marriage and household. umm, there are problems in the marriage to begin with and i think the person in the marriage should be more to blame than the person they are screwing on the side. man or woman.

and hell, people fall out of love, people are assholes to each other. each situation is different. glass houses and all that shit for the judgey people. wasn't that a billy joel album btw? haha.

My mom ran into Pat Boone at the San Francisco airport once. She was a big fan of his was she was young and got so excited to talk to him and was all gushing like a teenager.... Kinda funny to know now he's a giant homophobe cause little did he know my mom who was all fangirling on him was a big ole' lesbian.

Leann Rimes is glad to be back on the road

Leann Rimes is glad to be back on the road
    DAVID J. SPATZ, For the Courier-Post 5:35 p.m. EDT July 27, 2015

It only lasted for eight episodes, but it was mission accomplished for singer LeAnn Rimes and her actor-husband, Eddie Cibrian, after their reality series was canceled earlier this year by VH1.
The show gave the couple a chance to set the record straight about their romance, which became juicy fodder for tabloid papers, magazines, bloggers and just plain gossipers when it was revealed they were having an affair while both were still married to others.
“We wanted people to get a laugh out of everything that has gone on in our lives. Being in the situation we were in, it can either break you or you can laugh about it,” she says. “We were able to co-produce the show and have creative control ... and it showed our lives aren’t as dramatic as everyone thinks.”
Right from the get-go of the series, Rimes, 32, revealed the defiant side of her personality that’s been both a blessing and a curse ever since she broke into the music business and became an overnight sensation when she was barely a teenager.
In the first episode, she insisted she wasn’t a “homewrecker” and promised fans who watched the series that she’d be able to prove that she didn’t destroy Cibrian’s marriage to model Brandi Glanville. Nor was she singlehandedly responsible for her divorce from dancer Dean Sheremet, whom she met in 2001 when she was hosting the Academy of Country Music Awards.
While she’ll be the first to acknowledge it was an uncomfortable time in their lives, she says so many stories that made the rounds about her and her 42-year-old husband had little basis in fact.
“I would say probably 85 percent of it was completely inaccurate or just complete blatant lies,” she says with a laugh during a phone call from her Los Angeles home. “So yeah, it is hard to watch and read and see all that stuff about yourself. But it’s made me grow, it’s made both of us better human beings, which I think was my lesson in all of this. So if I can take that away from (the series), I’m almost thankful for it.”
Rimes, whose new summer tour brings her to Caesars Atlantic City for a single show Sunday night, says she’s eager to get back on the road. Other than an occasional one-off or private show, she hasn’t toured since December. And while she’s succeeded in other aspects of the business —like acting and writing two novels and two children’s books — singing is her primary artistic passion.
“Playing live ... is quite the drug, I guess you could say,” she says. “It kind of feels like breathing to me because I’ve been doing it for so long. It’s fun to be able to get in front of an audience and have that connection that not many get to have.”
Rimes has mapped out a set list for the new tour, but it’s nothing that’s etched in stone. As she’s grown and matured as an artist — and because the core members of her band have been with her for years — she likes being able to go with the flow of the audience and respond to requests.
She also enjoys learning songs with her band “literally minutes before we go on stage” so she can surprise the audience (and sometimes the band) by calling for a number that hasn’t even been workshopped, let alone rehearsed.
People who spot Rimes looking down at the stage while she’s singing may think she’s having a brooding or introspective moment. Maybe she’s living the lyric. But in all likelihood, she’s reading lyrics off a card she’s placed on the floor of the stage for a song she’s singing for the first time.
Rimes remembers performing once right around the time of Elvis Presley’s birthday. Someone from the audience shouted out a request for “Jailhouse Rock.”
The band knew the basic chords to the song, so that wasn’t an issue. But Rimes had never sung it before, and she wasn’t sure about the lyrics. So she did what any 32-year-old, 21st-century entertainer would do when they need instant information.
“I got out my iPhone and looked up the lyrics,” she says with a big laugh. But she was able to honor the request for the song.
Moments like that keep things fresh for Rimes.
“I’ve been doing this for so long and it’s something that keeps it fun for me, and a challenge for me and the band to be able to do something that I don’t know just for the hell of it,” she says. “I mean, you can get stagnant where you’re doing the same show night after night and you kind of find yourself thinking what kind of groceries you’re going to buy the next day.”
Rimes speaks with a confidence and self-assurance that belies her years, probably because she was just 13 when she released her debut album and single “Blue,” which became a Top 10 hit. She immediately began drawing comparisons with the late country singer Patsy Cline.
“I don’t think it’s ever been a curse at all (to be compared with Cline). It’s such an honor to be compared to someone I love so much,” she says. “She’s one of the best vocalists I’ve ever heard and can convey a story better than anyone. I think as a kid I was maybe like, ‘Hey, I’m my own person.’ There was a little bit of defiance. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve been asked to sing her music in so many different places. People want to hear me sing it, and I love it.”

LeAnn Rimes was 11 when she signed her recording contract. At 13 she had her first chart-topping song, “Blue,” which held the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart for three months in 1996. Some called her “the next Patsy Cline.”
But a girl has to grow, explore and expand her boundaries, go with her gut feelings. That’s what Rimes did and though some criticized succeeding albums as too pop, she knows it was all part of becoming the artist she is today.
Rimes will perform one show at 9 p.m. Friday, July 31, at The Event Center at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, in Charles Town, West Virginia.

“I’m enjoying music again,” Rimes, 32, said in a recent phone interview from her home in LA. Later that day, she was scheduled to perform with David Gray at the Hollywood Bowl and the next day, she hit the road again.

That 20-year recording contract ended. She explained that an artist needs a “person that has the same vision and believes in what you’re doing now,” not what you did when you were a teen.

If Rimes could give any advice to that 11-year-old LeAnn, it would be follow your gut instinct.

“This sounds like therapy. ... I think it would be trust yourself, trust your gut instinct,” she said when asked that question. “I’m learning what gut instinct means. I’ve always had it but now that I’m older I’m more in tune with it.

“(At 13) I was in this world where everybody was older than me,” she said. “(I would tell her) to tune into that instinct and to really speak up when your gut instinct tells you.”

Rimes does about 50 to 60 shows a year now. “That is pretty chill, actually,” she said. “Now, with having a family, there are so many different things to do.” Rimes is married to actor Eddie Cibrian, who has two boys, ages 8 and 12.

“There’s a definite balance now,” she said.

The “instant family” was stressful at first, she admits, and said “I had to take a step back to learn to juggle it all. It can still be stressful but we’ve learned to juggle it all.” The boys sometimes go on the road with her when their schedule allows. And she put to rest the most recent pregnancy rumor: “No. One day they’re going to get it right!”

Rimes just finished recording the second of a series of three Christmas music collections. The first, an EP, was released in 2014. The second, titled “Today is Christmas,” will be a full album.

“I love Christmas,” she said. “I did a Christmas album a long time ago. I wanted to kind of stretch it out over a few years,” which is why the first in this new series was an EP, the second will be a full album and the third will likely be another EP.

“I’m super excited about it,” she said of the album, with no release date set. “There are a couple of original songs, one I co-wrote.” The rest are familiar holiday songs with “my own spin” on them, she said.

“It has kind of a soulful, ‘70s feel. I call it my ‘Boho Christmas,” she said. “It definitely shows all sides of my personality.”

I don’t know if she will be singing any Christmas in July in Charles Town. The set is more likely to include “Blue” and other hits such as “How Do I Live,” “Nothin’ Better To Do,” “One Way Ticket,” “I Need You,” “Probably Wouldn’t Be This Way” and “Life Goes On.”
