I will never forget what I saw years ago in a public bathroom in Michigan. This little boy, who looked at least five, walked up to his Mom, lifted up her blouse and latched on standing up. He might have been even older than that. I'm sure I stood there with my mouth hanging open like WTF?

That is just sick. I don't think it is ok to allow your kid to rule like an adult.

yeah, that's what i think too. my cousin is more of the 'she'll walk when she's ready' school of though, while i think it's better to show kids they can try new things and to not be too afraid of falling. i think she's starting to realise she might be holding her kid back a bit but in the end, it's her kid and there's only so much i can say. it's up to her how she raises her.

I had to help raise my younger brother and it wasn't that hard to get him off of a bottle by the time his first birthday came around. The diaper thing was a little challenging, not impossible, he was stubborn but by the time he was 2 1/2 he didn't need diapers anymore.
I don't understand this lady, I think it's laziness on her part along with not being able to say no to her child.
..and I mean that from the heart of my bottom..

Newborns don't even drink that many bottles (or breastfeed) at night and it is their sole source of nutrition.

So, does Scientology not let you read any basic baby care books? Because she would know that this whole bottle thing is ridiculous.

The potty training? It can be so challenging...but at 4, she's more than physically ready to "hold it" and learn how to go potty. It would take her a day if they worked together to do it. ITA with everyone who commented about how "dry" disposable diapers are these days. They make it too comfortable for kids to run around and not realize they are wet.

My friend has a 3yr old princess daughter who's allowed to do everything "at her own pace when she's ready". She still has at least 4 bottles a day (plus the one she wakes up for at night) and they haven't even bought her a potty yet. The mother is a teacher. Sigh.

She didn't know that it wasn't ok to have a 4 year old on bottles?? Doesn't this kid go to preschool or socialize with other kids her age, does Remini not see that other 4 year olds are lacking a bottle??

How stupid do you have to be? I bet that child is spoiled fucking rotten.

Wouldn't she pee the bed since she drinks that much at night?

Fuck, I'd need diapers if I was drinking 6-7 bottles worth of fluid through the night. And since they make them for all sizes and ages nowadays, maybe Leah can just keep her in them until college.

I hope Leah saves her money, because it sounds like that little brat is going to need lots of therapy when she grows up. Assuming she'll be able to escape the wrath of co$.

My kids were off the bottle by 18 months & I thought I was being lenient. They started daycare at 18 months as well & had to be potty trained in order to be accepted. I have never had a problem with bedwetting/accidents. This woman just sounds lazy.
My goal is to be happy with my life.
