Who knows, maybe it will get me a date with a West Virginia mountain man....

First off, I'd smack that friend.
Secondly, 99% of the tards outside said urban area would have no idea wtf that symbol means.. (funny enough, I didn't for the longest time. I thought it was some sort of electricity ad or something)

I think if she was running for Prime Minister people would care a great deal.
And the Mayor is very much closeted. I remember how much I laughed at the Porn Festival this year when the German organiser said that the gay mayor of Berlin was sending this greetings to the gay mayor of Athens. The interpreter totally refused to translate that one.

Meee too, Soj...... it was great being a kid in the 70's!! I was too young to care about the fashion, but the cartoons and toys were the absolute best. I did hate my bell bottoms though..... they always got hung up in my bicycle chain!!

I think America is much more ready for its first black President than for its first woman President, and especially so if that woman is Hilary. There are so many people who passionately HATE Hilary, even Democrats. Hilary is everything that traditional sexist nutjobs hate and there are still so many of them in our nation. And to most of 'middle America' she's just too divisive and I dont think she can win a national election.
However, Obama + Edwards is nearly unbeatable from that standpoint. Edwards is the 'safe' white Southern male candidate that makes Obama safer. That who my money is on, in any order: Edwards and Obama.

um and why isn't America ready for its first woman president? Don't get me wrong- I think a black president would be great for our country also, but IMO Obama isn't the one.

Hillary + Bill Richardson=Women & Latinos in Colorado/Texas/Arizona which strikes a key GOP weakness on immigration, Democrats don't 'need' the black votes because they already get 90% (although a lot of people would correctly say they take it for granted)

Thats not my view, though I hate Hilary. Like it or not, there is still rampant sexism and discrimination in our country. The glass ceiling is alive and well. And when it gets down to it, there are so many who feel uneasy electing a woman President because of the perception that women lack the guts and ability to handle war-time decisions and to go toe-to-toe with the men in negotiations.

Bill Richardson will quell some of that. He's a governor with a lot of foreign policy experience.

I think I need to "roll" Condi and make off with that outfit. Including the shoes. She's probably got huge feet though, I'd have to stuff the toes.

That's why we women (and men) need to try and change that Personally, I would love having another Clinton in office. It's certainly better than another Bush
