I'm seeing reports that Rob was taken to the hospital and they say it was for diabetes. Guess they have finally found a story line to bring poor Rob back to the show.

Rob Kardashian was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with diabetes ... TMZ has learned.

We're told Rob wasn't feeling well over the weekend and as his condition worsened, his family became alarmed and Rob was taken to an L.A. hospital.

Doctors performed tests and diagnosed the condition ... and it was news to Rob. He had no clue he was diabetic.

Doctors stabilized him and as of this post he's still in the hospital.

Sources close to the Kardashians say this was a wake up call and Rob wants to start 2016 healthy.

Rob was last seen in public on an In-N-Out run this past June.

^^I wonder how high his sugar was to make him feel sick enough to go to the hospital. I'd say at least 300 if not more.

i'm betting he went into Ketoacidosis. When my blood sugar was not controlled, at the ER my sugar was off the chart (the meter just read HI) my A1c which should have been around 5-7 was 14.7. the doc told
me i wouldn't have lasted another day. i'm guessing he was over 800 easily. at the time i was like Rob. i didn't want to be seen by anyone. i was pretty much in denial.

Rob needs a job, seriously. He can't just sleep and stuff his face all day.

My other half was told that he had just weeks to live when he was finally diagnosed. However he had also dropped about 8.5 stone in weight and was like a walking skeleton by then. I wonder if Rob has been diagnosed as T2 and PMK is going to try and spin it to sound much more serious than it is?*

*Yes I know both types are serious, but T2 can be much more easily managed and can be related to lifestyle choices.

I saw a few sites that are hinting that it was a drug OD, we will never hear a true story from these people.

honestly i have two relatives with type I and type II and the type II is having a much harder time controlling their blood sugar. the type I gives themself insulin and has a very stable a1c, the type II can't lose weight and has neuropathy and blood sugar is all over the place. so you REALLY have to be vigilant as a type II i think. they didn't take it seriously at first when they were diagnosed, where as the type I was put on insulin right away and got shit right under control.

of course there are brittle diabetics who have a hard time, but with advances in pumps and stuff, it's really getting better. now if we could just cure it. which is a whole other ball of wax with research and drug companys and fucking 80 dollar test strips. grrr...

I had DKA in Sept. It hit very hard and very fast. My blood sugar was around 750. Spent a week in the hospital. Scary, scary stuff. So much of it I don't remember. Even the ambulance ride, which bums me out, cause I've never been in one before. I honestly thought I was going to die.

I'm on five shots of insulin a day, and probably soon to be six. It's so hard to control sometimes. And Annika, you are right. It's so damn expensive.
