It is sad that my attention is drawn to the attractive bush(not hers) when I see this pic. Looks almost like some sort of fuschia or bleeding heart.

maybe she is applying some kind of insecticide to the bush from her feet?-yeah, that must be it.

White, tight Kimberly Ovitz dress: $575; black Chanel 5182 sunglasses; $320; wearing a dress that sells out hours after you appear in court: priceless.

So much for the speculation about whether Lindsay Lohan is going back to jail; now it's all about her white hot court dress. How can you get one? The dress is from designer Kimberly Ovitz's pre-fall collection and retails for $575 according to Ovitz's spokeswoman Alexandra Gordon.
Along with other blogs and news outlets, US Weekly asked its readers, "Was Lindsay Lohan's Court Dress Appropriate?"
But shoppers seem to be eating the dress up. The "Glavis" design from Ovitz' pre-Fall collection is sold out at every online boutique that carries Ovitz's designs. The super-snug number retails for $575, but only if you can find a retailer that still has it available.

In addition to the body-hugging dress, Lohan sported her signature black Chanel 5182 sunglasses to avoid eye-contact with the paparazzi as she made her way into the hearing. Judging from the response to her dress it's no wonder the starlet was escorted into court by 21 LAPD officers.
Lohan responded to the attention to her courtroom attire Thursday, tweeting, "fyi- i would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal... also, what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it's just absurd. god bless"

On Wednesday, Lohan pleaded not guilty to felony grand theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store in California, then received a stern lecture from Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith L. Schwartz. "Miss Lohan, let me just tell you a couple things, so we have no misunderstandings," Schwartz said. "You need to follow the laws just like everybody else. Look around this room. Everybody needs to follow the law. You're no different than anyone else, so please don't push your luck."
Asked if she understood him, Lohan replied, "Yes, sir,"
Despite the nature of the charges against her, Lohan sported plenty of bling. She wore what appeared to be pearl earrings, a sparkly flower ring and a black leather bracelet. On her feet: black pumps, likely Christian Louboutin, the brand of shoes she chose for a September, 2010 court appearance.

Schwartz continued Lohan's case until Feb. 23 and set bail at $40,000 -- $20,000 each for the felony charge and for violation of her probation stemming from her 2007 DUI case.

    She posted bail later Wednesday.
If convicted, Lohan could be sentenced to up to three years in prison. She already has been to jail three times in the past three years for DUI, drug possession and probation violation

Why Lindsay Lohan Could Escape Jail Again – Even If Convicted

    By Ken Lee
    Saturday February 12, 2011 08:00 AM EST

Lindsay Lohan has a reasonable chance of avoiding jail and even a conviction in her felony grand theft case, even though she's been accused of stealing several times in the past, legal experts tell PEOPLE.

"This is far from a slam-dunk case," says L.A. criminal defense attorney Steve Sitkoff of the allegation that the actress, 24, stole a $2,500 necklace.

"All her attorney has to do is convince one juror it was an innocent misunderstanding and she could walk, unless they decide to retry her again."

Adds L.A. criminal defense attorney Harland Braun: "Even if she's convicted, I doubt she'll get state prison time because she's not a physical threat to the public. Prison is generally regarded as a place for hardened criminals, not someone who clearly has mental issues. She has a defensible case."

Experts also agree that her past theft allegations could be used against her in court depending on whether the judge finds the accusations relevant.

Here are among the possible resolutions to the actress's case:

    • Lohan could reach a plea deal without going to trial, and be sentenced to anywhere from six months to a year in county jail for the alleged theft as well as for violating her probation. "In this case, the court could figure out a way to make sure she does substantial time and forbid her from early release due to overcrowding," Sitkoff says.

    • She could also strike a deal in which she only gets felony probation with no jail time and if she stays out of trouble for three years, the judge could reduce the charge to a misdemeanor. Lohan's attorney Shawn Chapman Holley stated on Thursday she was seeking this as a possible outcome.

    • The actress wins at trial by convincing jurors she didn't intend to steal. However, Lohan could still face a probation violation and return to jail without a conviction in the theft case.

    • Lohan could go to trial and lose, and could be subject to harsher punishment if the judge decides she was being deceitful to the court. "But if she loses at trial, I can't see her getting more than eight months in state prison," Braun says.

Nope, I thought the same thing. I hate how you can see the hemmed material under the neckline. Don't know if she's bra-less, or wearing one of Britters old bras, but her boobs look a bit smashed in it.

Lindsay Lohan: Bad Jewelry = Good Defense to Felony

2/12/2011 1:00 AM PST by TMZ Staff

Lindsay Lohan's bad taste in jewelry could be the key to her defense, because according to TMZ's research, the necklace in question may not have enough value to constitute felony grand theft.

In order to charge a defendant with a felony, the item in question must have a fair market value of more than $950.

Kamofie & Company was selling the necklace for $2,500. But we checked with three prominent jewelers in L.A., and they claim the price tag is grossly inflated.

The jewelers asked us not to identify their stores by name, but here's their assessment of the item. We gave them information from the necklace designer, who told TMZ it was comprised of 8.84 carats of natural, untreated yellow diamonds.

-- A Santa Monica jeweler told us the necklace is "a dime a dozen," and he wouldn't think of selling it for more than $1,000.

-- A downtown L.A. jeweler says if the item is retailing for $2,500, it means "the stone is cheap," adding, "It's most likely an industrial-type diamond, not gem quality." He says the necklace is worth no more than $900.

-- A San Fernando Valley jeweler says, "I don't believe this necklace has 8 carats of diamonds. It's so thin." She says the chain would sell in the jewelry district of downtown L.A. for $800 tops -- and probably less.

Under California law, if the necklace is worth $950 or less, Lindsay could only be charged with petty theft, a misdemeanor. The maximum penalty is 6 months in L.A. County Jail -- and with jail overcrowding she's looking at a short stint.

If Lindsay's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley can convince the judge that the necklace is cheap, Lindsay could dodge the biggest bullet yet.

This is the biggest load of bullshit I've ever read. You can't retroactively price something to fit in with your defence. If the store was selling it for $2,500 before she walked in, then that should be the going rate, no matter how much you break down the raw materials.

As Lindsay faces prison Michael Lohan blames her management team

    By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 11:08 PM on 12th February 2011

It seems everyone is to blame for Lindsay Lohan's fall from grace - except her parents.
Michael Lohan spoke out about his troubled daughter's fall from grace last night - blaming her management team for her problems.
'A lot of the controversy in Lindsay’s life wouldn’t be there if Lou Taylor and Larry Rudolph weren’t part of the equation,' he told Radar online.

'They are both one-hit wonders with Britney Spears, and they are not going to do the same to my daughter.'

Blame game: Michael Lohan, seen this week, thinks his daughters problems can be traced back to her management team

Meanwhile his ex-wife Dina was busy occupying herself with a new project - a radio show with tabloid editor Chaunce Hayden.
The 48-year-old will discuss celebrities and gossip - and even Lindsay's problems are not off limits.
The details were revealed to website Radar online by Chaunce, who said the two were recording a test episode on Monday.
'Dina and I have remarkable chemistry,' Chaunce told the website. 'She’s a riot and gets my warped sense of humour.

Famous daughter: Dina, right, with her daughter Lindsay, left, is planning on starting her own radio show

'She’s also not bad to look at…eat your heart out Howard Stern.'

While other mothers might baulk at publicly dissecting their daughter's troubles, Dina is not among them.
'As far as Lindsay goes, I’m not banned from talking about what’s in the news…but you’ll have to listen to what Dina says,' Chaunce told Radar.
Dina rose to fame as her daughter's manager and for years publicly denied that Lindsay had any problems.

Chaunce has experience of working on the radio - he has previously worked with shock jock Howard Stern.

Co-star: Chaunce Hayden says the show will be 'edgy' and no subject, including Lindsay, will be off limits

While Dina is working on her career, Lindsay is facing a possible jail sentence over her alleged theft of a $2,500 gold necklace.
The starlet has pleaded not guilty to taking the jewellery, but is said to be keen to accept a plea bargain as long as it involves no jail time.
Lindsay, who appeared in court without her mother this week, has been charged with her first felony due to the worth of the necklace.
But according to today's media reports the 24-year-old could argue that the alleged theft was in fact petty theft - as the jewellery was overpriced and actually worth less than $950.
Website TMZ asked LA jewellers how much they would charged for the necklace, which reportedly contains 8.84 carats of natural, untreated diamonds.

Their answers ranged from $800 to $1,000, which if proved would make the crime a minor one under Californian law.
