Kim Cattrall and My Little Pony did nude scenes? Oh, God.

There was quite a bit of nudity in the series on HBO. Kim, Cynthia, and Kristen all did nudity semi-regularly. Sarah Jessica never did, and had it written in her contract from the beginning that she would not be required to.

my 14 yo daughter has watched it once in a while with me. the HBO version AND the TBS one. she could give a crap about it, usually gets up and walks out. she's got a good head on her shoulders. depends on the child i guess.

I disagree with letting kids watch this... 8, 14, 16 - they are kids. They shouldn't be watching shows about blow jobs, funky spunk, anal sex and god knows what else. Geez, let them be kids for fuck sake.
I have no doubt they get exposed to a lot of stuff at school and whereever they hang out, but do you need to endorse those things at home.
I went and saw the movie and a mother had her 15-16 year old daughter with her... I just thought that was disgraceful. Kids shouldn't be watching S&TC - it is not a show for children.

Most kids I knew at 14-16 were already drinking and a lot were having sex...... maybe we're kind of forgetting what it's like to be in your high school years? I'm not saying all kids are like that, but really, they aren't angels either.

Just because some kids aren't angels and would be far from traumatized by the stuff on SATC because they're out doing just as much themselves doesn't make it any more appropriate or okay.
Also, plenty of kids may do a lot of shit, but it's unfair to paint them all with the same brush because of the ones who are out whoring it up and giving head and then some at young ages. There are plenty who are just normal teenagers who have some semblance of self-control and don't care to be freaking it up anywhere near to the extent (or with as many random people) of some of their peers, much less single, urban-living 30-40something career women.

My boyfriend and I went to see The Strangers last weekend and this woman had her 7-or-so year old son with her. We were both horrified. That movie is in no way appropriate for a 7 year old.

Yeah - I've never seen SATC until now (borrowed a cousin's dvd in retaliation for her borrowing all of mine all the time, and am finding I quite like it) but it is SO in your face! Definitely not appropriate for teens.

Even I cringe at stuff on that show. It makes me sick to think teenage girls watch it.

Just because a lot of teens are sexually active (which I disagree with), doesn't mean that they should be watching SATC. It's a show by adults, for adults.

Doesn't the film have an age 15 rating in the UK? So there's nothing wrong with teens 15 and over seeing it, in my opinion. I think that age limit is just about right.

Does the UK version have that scene at the end with Miranda and Steve going at it?! That was practically soft porn, and definately not appropriate for a 15 year old.
I liked the movie, and liked the show on HBO. It was completely over the top, but sometimes you would just know a particular story had happened to someone the writers knew (being broken up with by post-it note; husband sitting his naked butt on your white furniture.)
I agree with the posters about letting kids be kids, they do not need to see people having sex, talking about blow jobs, etc. I know they talk about it at school, but they don't need to see it in action.

Yeah, I don't think the UK and US versions are any different. I've noticed that a lot of films that are R rated in the US are rated 15 in the UK.

Yeah, apparently, like, in the UK, 15 year olds are, like, "adults"! (Omigawdkewl)

Yeah, I don't think just because kids are maybe doing it, you should put your stamp of approval on it. I don't think its appropriate for young kids either. And I'm glad that Kim nixed that fellatio idea, thats just not right.
