Kendall Jenner is the new face of Estee Lauder

Let's see what happens. I remember last year when MAC chose Sharon and Kelly Osborne to represent them in a new line, I've never seen a campaign get dropped so fast because of poor sales. Did they really think anyone wanted to look like either of them.

Kendell has generic all American looks, nothing special, but I agree with the other posters that she will bring in a younger audience to the line.

Actually, the Osbourne MAC collection pretty much sold out and was considered one of their most successful LE collections of this past year. It was only ever intended as a one-off collaboration, unlike the Rihanna mini collections and Viva Glam sponsorship. The Osbourne collab is the same as the Brooke Shields one they just had - not intended to be an ongoing thing. (I'm a makeup slut - can you tell?)

As for Kendull, can't say I'm a fan but I did see a tween grabbing handfuls of EL lipsticks at Sephora after this was announced. I doubt she would have even know what Estee Lauder was before this happened.

Not if the loyal customers are octogenerians and rapidly dwindling in numbers. But yeah, it's probably difficult to go back to being a high end product, once you've slummed in the reality cess pool.

Loyal customers couldn't give a fuck. I doubt some woman that's been wearing White Linen for 25 years cares if there's a Kardashian in an EL ad. They want the product, not the ad. The ads are for new customers. If I like a cosmetic I wouldn't care if they used Charles Manson's pic in the ads.

Hmm I probably wouldn't buy anything Manson-endorsed. I might buy something Koresh-endorsed but it would have to be a really kickarse wrinkle cream that takes at least 15 years off. I'd never buy a Dahmer product, he had terrible skin.

I haven't seen the Lucidity one, I really like their make up powder and Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer at the moment

You gotta admit his face is quite unlined at 80 years old. He should be endorsing something. Probably the whole I only get an hour outside a day or week.
