I know what you mean Novice but I was relating to her stage image. What husband would threaten his wife's self esteem and career by posting the real thing? It's like someone sleeping with Cher/Joan Collins and posting pics of them without their wigs.

Yeah that was a dick-move for anybody to do, but especially to someone famous. It's obviously an unflattering photo, he knew that, but I think it might have been a case of a failed joke - he probably wouldn't consider it a big deal to have a pic like that posted of himself, but she obviously would and he should have thought of that. It didn't seem to be done with bad intentions like a lot of her recent PR moves do whereas he has stayed pretty quiet and just made fun of himself about the whole situation like at that awards show (MTV Awards maybe??).

Maybe you're right, or maybe there was more to it considering her drinking/drugging & him being an ex-addict... I dunno. I just don't like her so I find the photo (not the whys or wherefores) funny.

Agreed. It wasn't a cool thing to do.
As for her partying, well Russell isn't stupid, he knew what she was like when he decided to marry her.

She's a multi-platinum selling artists who can sell out huge stadiums across the world and has recently made the transition from the studio to the big screen.
But beneath Katy Perry's candy-coloured clothes, brightly coloured wigs and a set straight out of Willy Wonka, lies a good Christian girl who began her career on gospel TV.
As her documentary movie Part Of Me hit cinemas this weekend, footage of a younger Katy went viral and showed the singer performing under her christened name of Katy Hudson.

The footage was taken from a Christian TV channel a few years ago and shows Miss Perry make-up free with dark bobbed hair, singing a song called Search Me while strumming on an acoustic guitar.
She looks a far cry from the bubblegum star that she is now, in her baggy jeans and polka dot brown top with a scarf round her neck.
Perry, who was born Katheryn Hudson, was a gospel singer growing up in Santa Monica, California and sang in the church run by her pastor parents.

That same year she told the Daily Mail: 'My success might seem sudden and I sometimes feel like an upstart, but I’ve worked hard for this. I’m still the new girl in school, but I’ll soon become your best friend.'

Today she is selling out world tours and watching albums and singles go platinum and this weekend her 'warts 'n' all' documentary hit cinemas.
But sadly, despite the excitement hype surrounding the movie, it failed to make an impression on the box office and opened with a $3.1 million gross, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In comparison, the movie';s biggest competition was The Amazing Spider-Man', which took $35 million on its opening day

It’s been almost nine months since Russell Brand and Katy Perry decided to end their marriage.

And now it seems that Russell is finally coming to terms with why the pair didn’t last – candidly explaining that he sensed an ‘incompatibility’ while married to the California Gurls singer.

The 37-year-old funny man was seen leaving his comedy show at The Largo theatre in West Hollywood on Tuesday night, shortly after his comments aired on Australian television.

Appearing on the show Australia’s 60 Minutes,Russell spoke openly about the couple’s decision to call it a day on their 14-month marriage last December.

Russell said: ‘Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t, but if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways.’

The comedian spoke about why he believes people should date those with similar interests for the best chance of long-term compatibility.

He said: ‘I think if you’re someone who’s really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who’s into mountain biking, and if you’re really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else who into Eastern mysticism.’

Russell added: ‘I think if you’re a devoted tennis professional and you get married to a crystal meth addict, you might have trouble… I’ve been in a lot of trouble.’

Seen out in West Hollywood, Russell dressed in his usual bohemian get-up, wearing loose nude-coloured trousers, a tight-fitting white shirt that exposed his hairy chest and two beaded necklaces.

Before leaving the venue, Russell stopped and chatted to some of the audience members from his show who had gathered at the backstage door.
He stopped and chatted to two ladies as he got into his car and reportedly drove erratically as he left the complex - running over two bollards and missing a brick wall by inches.

Meanwhile ex-wife Katy Perry was seen at the Tokyo premiere of her fly-on-the-wall movie Part Of Me on Tuesday night.

The 27-year-old singer looked fresh after arriving from Singapore and debuted some wacky Daria-inspired nail art before sitting down to watch the film.

Katy is thought to have been dating fellow singer John Mayer for the past couple of months, although her family and friends fear that the romance may not last.

Last month Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Russell dated former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell after a chance meeting at the Olympic Closing Ceremony led to the old pals growing closer.

The pair reportedly went their separate ways after Geri grew tired of Russell’s ‘exhausting intelligence’.
