I know this has already been commented on but with the way she seems to live and portray herself thats very hard to believe. I understand being a hypocrite. I know I am in many respects and many other people as well but this is ridiculous. I dont sing songs about doing all sorts of things that are definitely against the Bible and then turn around and happen to live the way she does. Now Im wondering if Russell couldnt stand the hypocrisy.

so my friend was just in a clinic im London and told me Russell Brand was there, apparently he was doing some anti drugs talk, anyways she said he seemed really sad and quite (but very friendly and nice).

I do believe they love each other but their timing wasn't right. Katy is at the top of her game atm and in todays showbiz world, you can't afford to take time away from the spotlight otherwise you are forgotten, don't think she was willing to sacrifice that atm.

When the VMA's were on in September I watched backstage highlights from the backstage cam online, and I did notice they were never together.

Katy was always walking around with her entourage.

Maybe he hoped a nice religious girl like Katy would help keep him on the straight and narrow and be willing to settle down and have a family. Guess it wasn't so. I'll just ring him up and offer to console him.

yeh they all say they will take a break but they never fully take a break, they always have to find a way to be in the spotlight. Don't see her taking a break now anyways, she is coming off a very succesful 'era' and with her marriage break up everyone will be wanting to hear what kind of record she will come out with

Is anyone else getting a little tired of the Katy Perry-Russell Brand news? Just me? Because people are acting like this is the most shocking split of the decade. Bitches, please. This was a disaster from the start. It was a disaster before they even got married! Anyway, Us Weekly has a big cover story this week about how Katy was “married to a crazy man.” Seriously? Us Weekly is going to take the position – in bold on their cover – that Katy is the victim and that Russell is “crazy”? Granted, he might be crazy (although I think he’s just surprisingly intelligent and rather eccentric). But Katy is no “victim” for the love of God. So here are some highlights from Us Weekly’s cover story:

*Russell “duped” Katy with the prenup. Katy wanted to sell the photos from their Indian wedding, and she wanted Russell to sign a prenup, but he refused on both counts. Allegedly, Brand wanted to keep their wedding “pure” – he’s quoted as saying, “I want to make our wedding … normal, So it ain’t selling the pictures.” Meanwhile, since they filed in California, a community property state, “it could mean their assets will be divided down the middle therefore putting her $70 million fortune at stake. Their estate also includes $15 million in lavish properties all over the world.”
