I'm disappointed that there aren't any pics where we get a really good view of the dress. It looks like it was pretty.

I also think their cake is beautiful.

The bridesmaid dresses look like homemade maternity dresses courtesy of Wal-Mart's fabric department, and that flower girl looks obnoxious. I don't think there's anything cute about kids deciding that they're going to pout and ruin someone else's wedding pictures because they aren't the center of attention- big reason why I don't even want kids AT my wedding, much less in it!!

Seriously, am I nuts or does he not look bad for his age? I mean, yeah, he is receding, but I'm 38, so maybe I see this differently than a young person??? She doesn't look as young as 23 and he doesn't look as old as 43, so it doesn't look strange to me.

...and after seeing her on American Idol, my question is...why would HE marry HER???

It's part of most Christian weddings, not just Catholic. I don't think I've been to a wedding without that, actually.

I'll try to find the scans from the mag - there are better pics of the dress.

Icepik, I don't think Nick is bad ... like you said, the hair is the only thing that shows his age. There are pics of them on the honeymoon and he clearly has been working out, has a really nice upper body.

I think it all looks lovely, though Cat has lost a little too much weight or my comfort.

And we had a unity candle at my wedding, too. I like that tradition

Really? I've seen it done at almost every wedding I've ever been to, since the area I grew up in was predominantly Catholic. I'm not Catholic, I never could really understand what was going on anyway, especially the parts in Latin, but I always liked the Unity Candle.
