I used to be team Jon and now I can't stand him. He's shown his true colors. I still think Kate is an abusive bitch, but now I see they're both awful people who are totally ok with exploiting their kids.

I don't even follow this show- haven't seen a single episode. But from the start, I've thought that this was going to turn out to be a giant, pre-arranged drama and that they never really intended to get divorced. I especially think so after reading what he told In Touch:
'Jon and Kate were due to be officially divorced by the end of November - but now he claims he's had a serious change of heart. 'I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated [on June 22],' Jon tells In Touch exclusively. 'I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon.'
Jon Gosselin stops the divorce | terra
If they reunite, Jon and Kate win a thousand times over: they've gotten out of their TLC contract, made themselves massive tabloid targets (and undoubtedly profited from it), taken a (wussy) 'stand' to offset the haters on TLC's exploiting the children to, and separated long enough to let any troubles between them die down. And now, after a busy summer, they can 'reunite,' leave TLC while they are still popular, and devote themselves full-time to selling speaking engagements about how their family survived, Jon 'triumphed' over sin, had an 'epiphany' and got back with Kate to form the perfect Christian family.

I don't think it was a publicity stunt. I believe he wanted out. He is only backtracking now because he truly believed he would be worshipped and have all the public support because so many people said Kate treated him so badly. Instead he turned into a whore and lost his public support/income. I believe Kate realizes she is better off on her own and will embrace this new "superwoman" single mom status and milk it for all it is worth. My brothers neighbor works in the law office handling the divorce for Kate and they say she has no interest in a reunion and they are all working overtime due to Jon's legal filings over the last few days. They have told Kate to not fight the 90 day extension to finalize the divorce since it would take longer to fight it. They are also working to get permission to continue filming. I guess it will be like when Charlie tried to stop Denise from having the girls on her show except in this case the kids have already been involved in the industry for years.

I'm sorry, but all these reality shows (Jon&Kate+eight, Little people, big world,
the upcoming Octomom show etc., even the "celeb" versions like the Kardashians,
Hulk Hogan, Tori, Snoop Dog ALL OF THEM) are another example of how
real entertainment has become extinct and has made way for these non-
entertainment (no talent required, just put your freakshow on as is)
timeslot fillers. There is no real talent anymore. There is no real creativity
anymore (Hollywood with all its remakes and movie versions of cheap TV-shows).
It's a sorry comment on the state of society. It's like going back to the
days of carnival freakshows (the bearded lady, the elephant man).

Funny sluce! And wild! Try to get some inside scoop from him!
I don't think the divorce was a publicity stunt either. I think they genuinely don't like each other. It's just the stuff NOW that is for publicity. Jon knows what an ass he looks like and how clearly, TLC is on Kate's side w/the show going on w/o him, so he's pulling this shit as a last ditch effort to maintain some credibility.

He is being a pompous ass. As usual. Like,he is so concerned for the childrens welfare, he ran off with a semi-kid. Like he could POSSIBLY support these kids! Or even afford cars for his assorted mistresses.

Lynnie - Mark is one of the most ethical people I have ever met, as is his wife. They are great people and terrific with their kids - you know the kind who actually are involved at are there for everything at school. Maybe his parenting skills will be a good example for Kate.

Oh Cali, how can you be so cynical? Thinking we could be taken for a ride like that? And if your scenario plays out, what about the single most important person in this little drama? For God's sake, where would that leave Michael Lohan?

Haha - I have already said things I heard because my brother's neighbor works at one of the law firms representing Kate. Now you will never know which law office it comes from..... Seriously - her attorney that was on The Today Show will say nothing. Far too ethical. I would want him if I need someone to handle any family law case.
