Why ? Playing devils/Johns advocate here. Johns lawyer claims John was not in California at the time of the first alleged assault . That's pretty easy to prove or disprove. So if John wasn't even in the same place as massage guy 1 , it's really suspicious to have massage guy 2 pop up the next day , represented by the same lawyer , this time matching the location to the dates . It feels like the lawyer didn't make his homework the first time and is now trying to prop up the law suit.
