why not? she'll fit right in with the craptastic and trashy country singers like shania twain and faith hill. i don't see how she can be any worse.

Actually, I don't think that's true. They're pretty picky and I think it's difficult to gain acceptance and credibility in the country music industry. There's a big resistance by the core country audience to artists whose pretty shiny image overwhelms substance and talent, for example Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood. I think those girls made it based on some level of talent AND good connections/management.

Jessica has neither, and she's gonna be laughed out of Nashville just like every other industry she's tried to break into.

Nashville, Tennessee as in the physical city, not as in the music institution. Just because the audience accepts an artist does not mean the country music insiders will. Billy Ray never got respect from his peers.

Agree. I don't think they'll be too interested in an untalented bimbo crossover with a pervy daddy.

Now that I've had time to think about this, it is starting to tick me off. How dare she make us watch her talentless, fake, stupid ass sell out for a dollar? I'm sick and tired of the way she assumes we all think she's cute, and give a damn about her (over a long time ago) career!!

I dunno, I always thought she should do country, if you listen to her first album when she was properly singing and not just yipping, sighing and moaning he way through These Boots Are Made For Walking, she does have a nice voice. I think if it's done properly it could be good for her. I don't have a problem with her, she's a bit annoying but whatever, live and let live.

She should've just started out with country instead of trying to compete with Britney and Christina. She would've had a much better chance at success, but I'm pretty sure it's way too late now.
