She was merely voicing her thoughts when she told Ellen DeGeneres she had her eye on single man Adam Levine.
But now it seems Jennifer Love Hewitt is regretting opening her mouth on Ellen's talk show.
After the Maroon 5 singer responded in an interview by branding The Client List actress 'aggressive', she took to her Twitter account to make a vow that she won't be revealing any more crushes in the future.

Later on, not content she had made her point thoroughly enough - the star mentioned Adam by name and directed a tweet at him to express her humiliation.

Adam has as yet offered no response to his famous admirer.

The Client List actress - who split with 'Eagle Eye' actor Jarod Einsohn last month - recently confessed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to having her eye on Adam, who also happens to be back on the market having just parted ways with model Anne Vyalitsyna.
She said: 'I always have my eyes out. I just read two days ago that Adam Levine is single again ... I'm just saying. Look, we would be cute.'
And Adam admits it is always nice to hear that somebody finds you attractive, even if they are quite forward.
During his own stint on Ellen's show he laughed: 'I heard about that. That was aggressive.

Anne announced the split in a statement earlier this month, telling fans: 'Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner. We still love and respect each other as friends. I wish him all the best.'
The pair were rumoured to have had a giant bust up in February, although the Moves Like Jagger hitmaker - who has previously dated Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz and Maria Sharapova - vowed to make the relationship work.
He said: 'This is the most functional relationship I've ever been in. I don't want to screw it up.'

If he is attracted to the model type, then he probably wouldn't be into her, she has the potential to really pork up. But she does look really good now, for her.
I dont see her gaining weight any time soon but I could be wrong.
