    It's a UK article. Rota is a fairly common word for us.

    The US equiv is probably roster, but rota isn't unheard of.

    Not here (Canada), I don't think. We would say schedule. Roster here would be more like a list absent the scheduling part, but I've never really heard anyone use rota.

    I honestly never heard the word rota until that article. Same as Tati said here, mainly use schedule and then use roster to mean a list of people.
