Talking of rednecks, what's this glee everyone is displaying here at the news that a sixteen year old is pregnant? Are you shocked/surprised that a sixteen year old is having sex? Should she be punished for it? If she has a regular boyfriend she must be on the pill or some other regular contraception method and mishaps can happen (you just need to throw up once to cancel the effects). The scandal here is that she lives in a culture that encourages young teens to keep the baby while they're too young to figure out who they are and what's good for them. The finger pointing should be directed at the Repub value system, the anti abortionist culture that make them think that having a kid at that age is a valid option

JL will keep the baby but I'm sure she'll be throwing the responsibility at Lynne right after it's born. Because there's no way she will want to keep up with a baby, no matter what she says.

She's just soaking up the glory and feeding off any money/publicity she can get now and when that dies down, the whole idea of having a baby won't even seem appealing any more and she'll want to continue living life as a teenager, I'm sure.

Do you guys remember when Britney finally revealed that she wasn't a virgin and there was this HUGE uproar from the churches in some southern states? They were all telling Britney to ask for forgiveness from god because she sinned....well imagine what they are thinking right now....the priest at the Christian Church of Louisiana is probably ripping his hair out over this news.

I think Jamie Spears still lives in Kentwood...the village people will probably run him out of town now.

Britney Spears found out about her 16-year-old sister's pregnancy the same time everybody else did, a family friend says.

"This is going to kill her," the friend tells PEOPLE. "In the end, she'll be supportive, but this is a big shock."

I vehemently disagree. Who is out there telling kids its ok to have sex, to explore their sexuality? No republican I know. The scandal is our culture promoting sex to kids who are not emotionally prepared for it or the ramifications of it. No one stopped Spears from getting an abortion. She could have very easily. She chose not to. So don't blame republicans. Blame our corrupt culture that willingly degrades and disrespects young women.

I think the uproar was because Spears was a hypocrite. She preached abstinence, waiting til she got married, etc. and used it to garner fame- and THEN basically lied.
