Ask any practicing nurse about patient care and full moons.

Well, I'm a natural born sceptic. I don't think the lunar effect on humans is significant enough to show up in statistics over child birth, death, crime etc., which several scientific studies have shown.
If there's any effect of a full moon, I'd be more inclined to think it's a really simple chain of effects: Full moon -> more light -> less sleep -> insomniacs roaming the streets doing crazy shit. And not some ebb-flow effect on the water in the human body.

all i can say about moon cycles and humans is we get our periods every 28 days, but, if we were so connected we'd all be in cycle with the moon. there would be a LOT of pissed off chicks all at the same time every month.

And teachers, and cops, and doctors, and practically anyone who works directly with people. My cousin is a school principal at a pretty tough inner city primary school and she says the kids (and some parents) are particularly feral around a full moon. There are some aggressive assholes driving around this city but I swear it gets worse at that time too.

It's funny, I was talking about exactly this phenomenon with my physiotherapist the other day and he's a "believer" too. Yes, he's a bit of a SNAG and into all the reiki, acupuncture, alternative stuff too but he says that if the moon can influence the tides, why not the fluid levels in our brains too? A bit flakey maybe but a lot of people agree that something happens.

What about absorbing the molecules of police officers if you hang out with them long enough? Anybody have any experience with that?

^ I think Jake needs to be probed more fully on that one. Maybe an alien can help.

My daughter is a RN as well, and she use to work at a nursing home. She said it made a ton of the residents irritable, irrational, agitated and combative. She now works in a hospital and says she still sees signs of it, but not to the extent she experienced in the nursing home. But they do have a TON of freak admits in the ER on full moon nights and a lot of domestic abuse assaults.

That being said....I think Jake isn't playing with a full deck.
