I can't get the photos out of my mind where he was drunk and perving on a bunch of college girls. Ick.

Me three. I wish he'd been more interested in the Two and a Half Men role. I'd much rather watch him than douchey Kutcher.

The Divine Brown thing put me off him to begin with, but it's really been the years since then that have just ruined him for me. I find him kind of pathetic. The charmingly boyishly I don't care too much about anything--well, it just wore thin.

Even the interview where he talks about how having a kid might be good for him so it wouldn't always be 'me, me, me.' Yeah, like it should be another being's purpose in life to help you get over yourself.

I just feel like there is something missing in him. Not the fact that he doesn't want to get married or have children--nothing wrong with that. Something else.

I agree he seems a bit cold and odd, but I can't quite put my finger on what makes me think that either.

Here comes daddy! Hugh Grant pays a visit to his new baby and mother Tinglan Hong... and stays for a grand total of 45 minutes

It looks like a scene from Notting Hill, fumbling around outside a house with a goofy grin, trying to get to the girl and avoid the glare of the spotlight.
But Hugh Grant is coming to terms with a very different reality other than larking about on a film set, by fathering a child and visiting his newborn.
Surprise news emerged yesterday that the Four Weddings And A Funeral star is now a daddy after a former flame gave birth in September.

Managing a smile: Hugh Grant flashed his dopey grin as he paid a visit to his new child at his former fling Tinglan Hong's home

The 51-year-old actor has put shooting of his current project on hold, flying over from Germany and on to UK shores to visit his child.

His co-stars won't be too impressed, with famous faces Halle Berry, Tom Hanks and Susan Sarandon also taking centre stage in Cloud Atlas.
But despite putting on a brave face and behaving responsibly, the British hunk barely had enough time for bathing the tot and a bedtime story.

Grant arrived at 7.20pm and had made his escape by 8.05pm, tallying up a rather measly 45 minutes.

From A-list elite to mere civilian: Hugh Grant takes on paternal responsibilities as he visits Tinglan Hong and their new baby

He managed a smile for photographers, before looking a little bemused and heading into the house which had a Union Jack doormat.
Dressed down in jeans and a nondescript navy anorak, the Golden Globe-winner looked like any other father doing his daddy duties.
Grant has become a father for the first time after ex-girlfriend Tinglan Hong, 19 years his junior, gave birth following a 'fleeting affair'.

The pregnancy was not planned and the child, who has not been named, is now five weeks old after being born on September 26.
Like a storyline from a film: Hugh had to halt filming on his latest film in Germany to fly back to the UK for daddy duties

The king of rom-coms is not believed to have been present at the birth but he is said to have spent around half an hour with Hong the following day before heading to Scotland to play in a golf tournament.
Grant's spokesman said yesterday: 'I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl.

'He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive.'
They added: 'He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.'

Expecting: Tinglan Hong is no longer in a relationship with Hugh, but the pair are said to be happy about the new arrival

I see the Fail have their knives out again. I'm not sure that staying longer than 45 minutes would have achieved anything as from what I've seen very small babies are either asleep, eating or creating gut-wrenching smells. There's not really a lot you can do with them at that point so staying four or five hours and trying to fill time with an ex while you wait for the baby's waking moments doesn't really seem like something you'd want to do.

Then again I don't have kids so I'm probably not getting it.

The phrase 'photo opportunity' just randomly popped into my head.

That's very true. Even though I don't much like him, I don't think it's shocking or horrifying for him to spend so little time. Beyond the financial support that he is obligated to, it's up to him what kind of father he is going to be, and how involved with the child. I hope he can manage to be a consistent and positive presence for the kid.

What is he supposed to do with the baby at 5 weeks? if the mother is nursing, he can't feed the baby. He can hold her and talk to her so she begins to know who he is. Other than that, there is little to do with the "blobs" at the age and I am assuming the mother has been given assistants to help with other issues. I will withhold judgement on his parenting for a little bit.

I have always liked this guy. He's nuts and self-deprecating and doesn't seem to take himself too seriously.
Congrats to him and his lil bebe.
