Good, but I was kinda hoping they'd retire the dress instead.

Yeah, they should have fired the dress instead, claiming that now that voluptuous women and lesbians wouldn't buy it, it was redundant!

I'm sure I'm not the only one of us who returned it at once, and well before the press debacle. "Class" is such a tawdry, thirsty, word - and its pursuit a grasping vulgarity. Rather strive for excellence, kindness, and a pleasant and appropriate demenour and dress, in short, for quality in both character and appearance.

(My mom had all these little guides and morality tales laying around when I was a child.... I think this is a fairly accurate version, lol. I loved them, but was also terrorized by them!)

So essentially they fired this guy for saying what most people in fashion think but don't say, or say among themselves but not for the press.

Yeah, I don't think there's much doubt that everyone at Herve Leger/Max Azaria thinks the exact same thing, but they have too much business sense to say it out loud. They're not so exclusive that they can afford to alienate a large percentage of their customer base. It's not like they're Goop. So, he needed to go.

I believe he was fired for the bullshit comments about lesbians, not for saying fat people shouldn't wear this style.
