I hate that dress. It's got too much going on. Remove the tacky cut outs, one third of the crazy glued flowers, and the mullet hem, and it would be quite nice.

I think the whole attention whoring aspect of this union is so over the top and in such contradiction with how Clooney has been about his private life so far. Something really seems off. And why are there so many actors guests? I know he's considered a nice and popular guy in showbiz but I wasn't aware he was so much into celeb friendships other than with his (male) co-stars from the Ocean's Eleven cast.

The same man who trashed the paps after Princess Di was killed allows them to photograph his wedding? I mean, dude got up on his soapbox and never really left it.

I guess you could argue that the circumstances were different, but it reeks of two-facedness to me. And having a high-wattage presence like Wintour there, and they aren't even known to be buddies? C'mon, this is totally a publicity move. Especially since Clooney has three movies in the pipeline.

There is a self-satisfied smugness about him that makes me want to kick him in the eye.

What a bunch of bitter bitches, the lot of you. George has met his match. Love, politics, the perfect beard, whatever the reasons, he looks happy. Now stop raining on Sluce's big day!

They are all selling us their story. The bigger the name, the more elaborate the fairy tale. But I like what he sells.

^^ I wondered too. They are making a movie in Malta? Not far at all. Get on a plane Brad Pitt, return the next day. Angelina could stay with the brood and he should have gone. She's so fucking anti social and fucked up.

Internationally acclaimed barrister Amal Alamuddin marries an actor

    By Amanda Rose
    on September 28, 2014

Amal Alamuddin, a 36 year old London-based dual-qualified English barrister and New York litigation attorney who has long been a high-profile figure in international refugee and human rights law has gone against the trend for professional women in her field and married… an actor.
I fucking love the NYDaily News for that headline and article. Haha.

I don't know if this has been said and I'm too lazy to go back and read but...

I predict a run for office and this a marriage to satisfy future voters. The whole "family man" route and whatever. I don't know.

Something just seems off about the whole thing. I don't believe the "we met, fell in love and got married" shtick they're selling - and I usually buy ANYTHING Clooney sells...
