George is my favorite Beatle, too. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is great. I also LOVE "I Want to Tell You", "Something", and "It's All Too Much".

My favorite from his solo career was "What is Life". Really infectiously energetic and upbeat.

Isn't hating Yoko about as passe as saying death to disco?

Yep, Lennon and McCartney were getting along so well until Yoko came along. Its not like they had a seriously contentious relationship and had for years, or that George was sick of being treated like a sideman by Paul and stopped wanting to tour as far back as 65, and actually did quit while filming Let it Be, until they talked him back in.....or that Lennon wanted to leave the band in 66, long before he was with Yoko. The legal and business battles they had all been having from when Brian Epstein died didn't factor in either. Or Paul trying to turn management over to his father in law and brother in law, which really pissed off the others. Nope, all Yoko

I don't hate Yoko because I think she broke up the Beatles. I hate her yammering, screaming, talentless music that I have to hear and really blame John for unleashing upon us.

Blame John Cage. Yoko was his protégé and she was established in the avant garde art and music scene long before she met Lennon. Its part of why Lennon hooked up with her. Not to my taste, but he liked it. And she's no worse than Linda, who Paul put in his band. Let's just say neither of these ladies was a Kim Gordon as far as being in a band with the hubs goes.

Please don't use Kim Gordon as an example. As much as I love her for being part of one of the best bands ever, I have to skip her songs whenever I listen to the Youth.

Walking on Thin Ice is a great song if you like vomit solos.

How 'bout Ike and Tina? Better? the chemistry (musically, not the marriage) was amazing

I'll say about Linda that the only reason she was in Wings was so they would be together not because she had high musical ambitions and rightly so.

Ike was an abusive asshole but I'm not sure if Tina would have did what she did without him.

I actually like Wings - "Live and Let Die", "Band on the Run", "Silly Love Songs", "With a Little Luck", and "Jet".
