Crumpet Like you said research doesn't lie and research does indicate that parents staying in a marriage where they are unhappy is very detrimental if not more detrimental than the effects of divorce on children. Two parents are ideal yes; however that’s two functional and stable parents. Marriage in many cases doesn’t permit parents to be 'functional or stable' due to the stress of their relationship with each other.[/quote]
Thank you.

Just as much as celebs, or anybody for that matter, might
not want to admit something, it's just as much speculation,
gossip and guessing that they DID use donor eggs.
For decades, the oldest woman on record to have naturally
conceived and given birth to a normal healthy child was a Russian
farmer's wife, at the age of 59. More recently, a British woman,
also 59 - but I guess a little older than the former "record holder" -
has taken over her spot.
Is it rare? Absolutely, almost freakishly so. Is it impossible to
conceive (way) into your forties and later without help? No.

i've heard rumors that jane seymour used donor eggs but don't know it for a fact. just as i've heard that rumor about marcia cross. i can understand why people don't talk about it very much, fertility is a personal matter and parents may not want the public to know about the egg source before the child does. anyway, i'm glad that ART is available so that people can achieve their dream of becoming parents.

Well, congrats for her. I think she wanted this for a while. I hope everything turns out well with her diabetes and all.

Halle Berry seems as interesting as putting out the recycling.
As fo women having babies over 40, my Grandmother (Big Mama) had the last of her 16 children at 51. She had 5 babies die at birth as well. Hard core Catholics? Just a bit. She died last year. She was 100 years old. Coolest lady with great stories.
You think you were po'? Let me tell you about po'....

I find it pitiful when women use parental love as a substitute for healthy romantic love. Sort of like when some moms coo about how they don't have the desire for sex as much because all of their affection needs are met by their children.....eew.
