Phew! Gwyneth Paltrow can breathe easy for another month after Vanity Fair fails to publish 'take down' in December issue

    • The magazine's latest front cover features Nicole Kidman and touts articles on the Vatican and the 'world's greatest living artist'... but no Paltrow

Phew! Gwyneth Paltrow, pictured in London on Monday, was said to be furious that Vanity Fair had planned a take down of her

Gwyneth Paltrow can relax - at least for another month - after it emerged today that Vanity Fair had not published its highly anticipated 'take down' of the star in the December issue.
The magazine's latest front cover features Nicole Kidman and teasers for pieces on Kristen Stewart and a Silicon Valley sex scandal... but no mention of Paltrow.
There has been much hype in recent weeks over the proposed piece after it was revealed Gwyneth, 41, had told friends not to co-operate with the magazine - leading to speculation over what would be in the article.

However, Vanity Fair's December issue leads with Nicole Kidman's interview and pictures the Australian actress in a Grace Kelly-esque photo shoot ahead of her new film playing the princess.
Features on the Sandy Hook school massacre, Wall Street, the Vatican, the world's most endangered tribe and the world's greatest living artist are also mentioned - but no Paltrow.

The actress showed no signs of stress over a looming exposé as she appeared at the launch of the talk show of her close friend Amanda De Cadenet in London on Monday night.
Wearing fitted black trousers with a midriff-revealing crop top, Paltrow happily posed for pictures at the celebrity event.
In September, the New York Times reported that the Oscar winner had emailed friends, writing: 'Vanity Fair is threatening to put me on the cover of their magazine.
'If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again.'
But earlier this month, the magazine's editor, Graydon Carter defended their coverage in a statement to the Times: 'We wouldn't be doing our job if there wasn't a little bit of tension between Vanity Fair and its subjects. In any given week, I can expect to hear from a disgruntled subject in Hollywood, Washington, or on Wall Street. That's the nature of the beast.'

The December issue of Vanity Fair features an interview with Nicole Kidman but makes no mention of Gwyneth Paltrow

According to Page Six on October 18, researchers on the story by Vanity Fair contributing editor Vanessa Grigoriadis have been asking Miami society sources questions about Paltrow and Soffer, who recently married Aussie supermodel Elle Macpherson.
Soffer was reportedly 'closed off in a private section' with Gwyneth, clad in a little white dress, when she attended the lavish re-opening of his Miami hotel the Fontainebleau in 2008.
He then reportedly gave Gwyneth a private tour of the hotel, whisking her away in his Bentley, and the following day, she joined him on his yacht with Kate Hudson.
However, this report prompted Gwyneth's spokesman to tell MailOnline that any reports of a romance were 'completely false', adding: 'Jeff is a longtime friend of Gwyneth's and there was no romantic relationship with him at all, He flew many of his friends to Miami that weekend - not just Gwyneth.'
Billionaire real estate developer Soffer married Elle in August in an intimate ceremony in Fiji, and a source said: 'They wanted to keep the wedding a secret. They are very happy and head over heels in love.'
Denial: Gwyneth Paltrow has today denied any romantic relationship with Jeffrey Soffer. The pair are seen here at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Resort Grand Opening Gala, Miami Beach, Florida on November 14, 2008

The pair dated for two years before splitting in March 2012 and then rekindled their romance after Soffer was injured in a 2012 helicopter crash in the Bahamas.
Another topic that came to light is the blonde star's friendship with a New York-based literary agent that dates back to at least 2008.
The pair have worked together and last month, their friendship was mentioned in a Star magazine report.
In a piece about Vanity Fair's proposed article, Star magazine noted that it had been on the receiving end of Paltrow’s wrath. The magazine reported that it had reached to a former personal assistant of the literary figure for comment on the friendship.

Cutting ties: The star has featured on several Vanity Fair covers during her career - here in 2004 and 2011 (right) - though she's no longer willing to work with the publication due to their harder edge

The magazine noted: 'It appears that the ex-assistant then contacted her former employer, who most likely informed Gwyneth or her representatives immediately, as Star received a threatening letter from the actress’ attorney – which did acknowledge that Gwyneth and the gentleman in question did know each other and had been to dinner together more than once – within hours of speaking with the ex-assistant.
'This preemptive strike could be regarded as highly unusual, as Star had not yet undertaken the formality of contacting Gwyneth’s publicist or agent (as we would for any subject of an investigation) to alert them to our upcoming feature and to ask for a comment. We do occasionally receive a legal letter AFTER making this standard “comment call” but to receive such a communication beforehand is almost unheard of.'
In the end, Star magazine did not publish the allegation, suggesting it lacked evidence.
Gwyneth has been married to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin since 2003 and last month gave surprising comments in an interview where she revealed she would like to be forgiving if Chris cheated, seeming to insinuate that she would be open-minded about infidelity.
Hollywood bound: Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin recently moved to Los Angeles. They are seen here in Santa Monica in October 2012

Newlyweds: Aussie Supermodel Elle Macpherson and now-husband, billionaire property developer Jeffrey Soffer, go Christmas shopping during a trip to Aspen, Colorado, in December 2009. They married in Fiji in August

She told Refinery29.com: 'I'm an extremely open-minded person, so I think if it was something I knew I was getting myself into, I wouldn't let it deter me from exploring the relationship.'
Starring in new movie, Thanks For Asking, which delves into sex addiction, she added: 'No couple is the same, and as such, every couple takes on different challenges. I would like to think that I would be forgiving and/or forgiven.'
While in another interview, she added: 'I am a great romantic — but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist.

'Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extramarital affairs. It's like we're flawed — we're human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge.
'That's their problem but I really think that the more I live my life the more I learn not to judge people for what they do.'
But she insisted her marriage to Chris was secure. Mother to Apple, eight, and Moses, seven, Gwyneth is said to be extremely protective of her personal life.

It is still as yet unknown as to when the article will be published in Vanity Fair and it is not suggested that Miss Grigoriadis has in fact unearthed any material to fuel speculation about Gwyneth's marriage - or to let alone suggest that she has ever cheated on her husband.

Exclusive: Gwyneth and Mark share a proper snog in the park

You can't please everyone: Graydon Carter, who has been at the helm of the publication since 1992, says: 'We wouldn't be doing our job if there wasn't a little bit of tension between Vanity Fair and its subjects'

No you're not crazy, she does not look good but she's wearing an "essential" outfit for any working mother over 40 - a midriff baring top. Only she didn't pair it with her essential orange shiny shorts, so I'm a little disappointed.

Her hair is offensive. Seriously, all those hours in the gym, but she doesn't have ten minutes to trim her split ends? And why doesn't she ever wear make up anymore? Did someone tell her she doesn't need it?

I caught a re-run of Sex and the City the other day where Carrie was telling Stanford about a therapist she was going to see and Stanford told her that Gwyneth Paltrow went to this same therapist because she suffered from "high self esteem". Made me giggle.

While I was reading the AGC GWYNETH PALTROW PAGE post, I was informed by my significant other that I had a permanent stink eye going on. Now I may have some wrinkles that Gwyneth does not approve of. Time for me to buy a Gwyneth Paltrow approved remedy of caviar and blood to put around my eyes. Maybe I'll throw in some placenta or pigeon poo. Actually, this mask may make for a good costume on Halloween. I just need a shirt that says GOOPY.

What A list musician, despite being married, only sees his kid(s) when he knows his B list actress wife is not around. He has not lived with his wife for almost a year and she is fine with that. She likes to pretend that everything is still perfect so won't tell anyone. Meanwhile he can't stand to be around her and she drives him crazy.

manningmsj totally agree. The hair is bad. The color is an offensive yellow, and it looks dry and greasy at the same time.

I think Goopy will hang on until she has no nails left and the only thing she can do is play the victim-turned-organically-saved-survivor card. Even if conclusive proof is published that they've both been banging other people she'll still try and spin it by gooping about the £30,000 a session mystic crystal ashtanga yoga juice cleansing couples therapy that you must all simply have from her dear, dear friend Maharishi Doctori Nickish Riviera because it literally saved her marriage.
