Katherine Heigl (nominated for Grey's): "I'm not crossing the picket line, not unless I'm contractually obliged to do, which, for the Golden Globes, I'm not."

Angry

I guess some stars (Heigl) think they will look like selfless martyrs for not attending the Golden Globes due to the strike. Stay home and choke on your millions while the working class fights for their rights beeyotch!!!!

oh no! What will we ever do without the annual parade of self-congratulatory celebrities in overpriced gowns?! My year is ruined......

and what will we do if Heigl doesn't grace us with her presence? I am going to miss her smugness and overblown ego.

Alec Baldwin Offering Tuna Sandwiches for Golden Globes

Attention Golden Globe nominees: If the writers' strike isn't resolved by showtime, 30 Rock Globe nominee Alec Baldwin is offering to have the event at his Manhattan apartment.

"I have cleared all of this with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The HFPA makes only one simple request and that is that you pre-order your meal selection NO LATER than Friday, January 4th, 2008," he writes on The Huffington Post.

Among his meal options: "Tuna Salad, whitefish salad or egg salad (choice of one)... Potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw (choice of two) ..." and for drink, "Liter of red or white wine or 6 (six) cold bottles of Amstel (promotional) complimentary."

Adds Baldwin: "A quick Red Carpet, hosted by Radioman, will be held at the parking lot of Tavern on the Green before we are all shuttled to my apartment building. 'Round...5:30-ish? Sound okay?

"Looking forward to seeing you all on January 13th at my place."

Great idea Alec .... but do us ALL a favor and don't invite Katherine Heigl to this one

^ I think Alec Baldwin's idea is far more interesting than watching stuffy celebrities walk down a red carpet.

I love Baldwin's sense of humor. lol

Okay studio heads, give the writers what they want. I don't blame the writers for this. I blame you for being greedy assholes. Without the writers what do you have? A spring season of reality shows most people won't watch. Suck it up and give them their deserved $$$. Your fourth wife is only going to take it in the divorce settlement anyway.
