Yep. Once they actually act on their fantasies, it usually becomes a compulsion that they can hardly stop themselves from giving into.

    I'm all for executing them.

Maybe MS gave info on sources of the picture/ video and that reduced his time. Would think that if he was going to kill himself, he would have already. Aren't prisoners usually especially violent towards pedos? Jared is still alive though, or whatever the subway guys named, albeit a few bruises and maybe some time in high security.

I thought most prisons had special snowflake sections for prisoners 95% of the world wants to beat the crap out of or worse every damn day. 'Cause, you know, gen-pop is full of folks who'd fullfil our fantasies.

^^A few years ago, my husband's cousin who is a CO mentioned something about these types of prisoners having "fake" files so not even they necessarily knew if a prisoner was there for being a child molester, much less the other prisoners...

Well that's bullshit! Do the crime, pay the time and abuse! If tax payers money is going towards these ass hats being in prison, everyone should know who they are, what they did and get the dick and/or shank every day.

^^That is indeed bullshit. Throw 'em in GenPop and let 'em take their chances. See how they fare when dealing with someone their own size or bigger.

I guess I'm in the minority thinking prisoners should not get raped, beaten or murdered while in prison, regardless of their crime.

I'm not saying the rapes/beatings etc should happen, just that they shouldn't get special protection and privileges because of the type of crime they committed. If someone who committed a low level crime - say being busted for having weed and not being able/not bothered to pay the fine and getting breached as a result - has to deal with the reality of prison life then why should people who have committed heinous crimes against a child that will scar them for life be afforded special treatment or protected status?

I get what you're saying. I also often think that some criminal should rot in hell/die in a fire/get a taste of his own medicine, when I read about an awful crime. But I still think prisons should be as safe as possible, even if it means giving special treatment to some asshole who doesn't deserve it. I would just like society as a whole to be better than I am as an individual, and in order for that to happen, the institutions (prisons, police, education, health care etc.) should be free from personal bias.

While they are full of violent criminals, prisons will never be safe. At least not here in the States.

I can't recall the chap, but some extremist from the UK ended up in a prison here in the US. He's now pulling the human rights card to be sent to a UK prison because they're far more cushy than his accomodations in the US prison system.

    I...can't even

I've legit known of people who have served almost 4 years for multiple DUI offenses. Not saying they didn't deserve it, they totally did. But, to think of that and then see this fucking disgusting SUB-HUMAN get 4-7 for possessing tens of thousands of CHILD PORN files?

No wonder the US is a fucking laughing stock. Sentences like this, Cheeto, the list goes on..

He should never see the light of day again. Period. Lock him up and throw away the key. I don't even care if they remove him from gen pop to 'protect' him. That's fine - let his sick ass sit in solitary, then. While it would be personally satisfying for me to see him get some kind of karmic retribution, I do feel prisoners should be protected when they're in danger. Mainly because it would make the prison system safer as a whole. The US prison system desperately needs an overhaul, but then again - so does the justice/sentencing aspect, too - as this joke of a sentence clearly demonstrates.

But don't let him out, ever. Exactly what do they think is going to happen when he's released? That he'll be suitably chastised and cured? WTF ever.

It isn't just the US though. A man in my town went to court after police found over 107,000 child abuse images on his computer, and that was just the count from the external and internal hard drives that they looked at (there were others that they didn't check for some unknown reason). You want to know what sentence he was given? A three year community order and having to register as a sex offender. What a fucking joke.

Jesus Christ. And the powers-that-be will sit and scratch their heads when (not IF) he does it again, or worse - escalates his behavior.

^Canada's sentencing surrounding sex crimes is pathetic.

I'll see if I can find a link, but there was a disgusting POS here who raped and beat a young child, then left her in the bushes for dead. (She miraculously survived)
Years later, while out on parole, he was found wandering around a playground carrying a teddy bear. He was clearly trying to lure another child.
    Nothing happened to him.
