Bummer ... I was secretly hoping for a tit for tat!

Another thing most of those countries have that is long overdue in the U.S. is a mandatory 1 year military service. I'm sure I'm a minority on that idea, but at least all the rich politicians would have to face sending their own kids into the fire.

The fuel issue....given that a gallon is 4.5 litres, and petrol in the UK is around £1.10 a litre,we pay around $9.76 a gallon for our fuel at the moment.

    I'm just sayin.

BTW this thread is absolutely fascinating, very intelligent arguements and no descents into name-calling..
And it all started with Jessica Simpson!

    I love this board.

Yeah that's exactly what I want.. a Government who crumbles every time a bunch of pissed off people protest.

You fear our government? Really? Wow!
If I feared my government I'd move. (not being sarcastic.. just sayin..)

this satirical news show with puppets in spain recreated the scene in the great dictator where chaplin dances around the office with his globe, except instead of chaplin it was josé maría aznar. brilliant.

If this a government of, for, and by the people-you know, a Democracy-then the government is there to serve the people, not the other way around. The government should be there to make sure the people are not exploited by big business interests. If it were not for a bunch of pissed off people, children would still be working 16 hour days in factories and companies could pay us 10 cents an hour for hard labor.

If you don't fear this gov't, you haven't been paying enough attention.

aznar wishes he looked that good. at least timothy dalton didn't have a stick up his ass and a paralysed upper lip that he has to disguise with a hitler stache.
