I never said it was, but some folk sure seem emotionally invested in the idea of her innocence.

Her nationality has nothing to do with her treatment in the US press. The McCanns received much the same here. Consequently, suspicious up the wazoo people who would normally receive the side-eye from thinking adults get every shadow of every doubt.

Do you indeed, that is a shame.

There does seem to be somewhat of a divide, on here at least, between the locations of those who find her guilty and those who don't.

Since I am on the side of the evidence, common sense, and the decisions of courts of law, I consider belief in her guilt to be rational. The other side only has a preponderance of public opinion which is notoriously fickle. And usually emotionally driven. EDIT: and in this case, also driven by an expensive PR team.

*She's a privileged white Christian girl who went to trial in a conservative, white Christian court system so spare me any claims about prejudice or bias. If anything, it's amazing to me the African Mr. Lumumba didn't get railroaded into taking the fall for her.

What evidence? I've asked a few times over the years, but what evidence connects her to guilt? I've just never even heard of anything that is actually admissible.

It is ignorant and would be like saying that all whites think that Zimmerman was innocent.

It's just such a scary thought to me that someone could put such strong faith in crime-scene evidence that, without any doubt, was collected so poorly.

    for her.
You lost all credibility with that statement. Then you add insult by implying other members here who do not agree with you must be simply following fickle public opinion. When you stoop to using arrogant, insulting statements like that, YOU lose.

Don't fault Shellee. She's just too emotional, has no common sense, isn't a thinking adult and is blinded by Amanda's beauty. (Did I miss any?)

Just that since she's Mercian I must believe that she's not guilty.
