Gale Gand is actually one of the best Food TV people. She seriously rocks. She makes the best desserts without cutting corners. I've been to TRU in Chicago and her pastries were out of this world. It's this she-she place, very upscale. For a dessert, they serve 4 courses. In the middle of these amazing caramel and chocolate creations, she served a tiny rootbeer float. It was brilliant. Like snubbing the rich who only want elegant, not fun food.

My SO was born and raised in New Orleans and used to be a chef... He makes the best Cajun food, ever, and right in our kitchen to boot! Jealous?

How much does it cost to ship food from Florida to Ohio?

I can't stand watching Emeril's show - it's like watching paint dry. I wouldn't mind eating anything he cooks, though.
I love watching Sandra Lee. The ridiculousness of what she comes up with is too much. And the woman will beat a theme to death - if she's having screwdrivers as the requisite cocktail, then she'll put in orange juice, orange jello, orange flavored vodka, actual oranges, etc . . .

I am still steaming at the finale of Next Iron Chef. I can't believe they picked Michael Symon over John Besh who was consistently solid throughout the competition and who, imo, was the better man and totally deserved to win.
Of course, these are the same people who think Booby Flay, the biggest idiot in the universe, deserves the title also, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Oh I loved Michael Symon!!!! John Besh did seem more consistent though.
Bobby Flay seems like such a dick. I do love Tyler but no one is better that Paula Deen her food will give you a heart attack but sheesh it looks good.. I have made a few of her recipes and man were they awesome.
I love the Iron Chef. I really liked the original the stuff that was made was so gross but so interesting.. Squizon!!! (at least that is what it sounds like)

Oh, I forgot about Bobby Flay. Can't stand him either. He's an egotistical asshat who only seems to know how to grill and rub peppers on things.

Good, they can give Alton another show!
LOVE him and I actually learn things from watching Good Eats. Feasting on Asphalt was just plain fun to watch and I seriously wouldn't mind seeing Bobby Flay going away with Emeril

I don't like cooking shows but like Paula Deen. She is great! Emeril is just annoying. I wish FoodNetwork would carry some Nigel Slater stuff. I have seen a cooking show with him in the UK and it was great. I would imagine he is too laid back.
Now, Gordon Ramsay is just....yummy. He doesn't have to cook...
