Eminem dated her shortly after her break up with Luis Miguel and her rehab. The lyrics to his song "Superman" talk about her. He's said she came to visit and was so wasted on the plane. He either wouldn't come meet her or she wouldn't get off the plane. Can't quite remember.

Anyone recall an MTV production when Mariah first hit the scene? She sang live and it was fantastic. She seemed so thankful and humbled to be there, yet owned her talent. She covered The Jackson 5's "I'll Be There". I can't copy paste on this device, but will try to find a video.

I remember seeing a skinny Mariah making her singing debut on some talk show doing "Vision of Love" live. We were almost blown out of our seats as was the entire audience. It was like something from another planet, so good, such incredible range. I remember everybody saying after that "Compared to the new girl, Whitney can't sing". And now, at least vocally, she seems to be going the same route as La Houston: they mistreated their gift.
