"We spend our lives like bright and shiny new dimes"? "There's a plate of homemade wishes on the window sill"?

^ I don't know, but they definitely tried to make her look older. I just read that she was younger than one of the daughters (the actress in real life).

She replaced John Travolta's "girl"friend who died of cancer:
Replaced wife and mother Diana Hyland on the Eight Is Enough (1977) series after the actress became ill and died from breast cancer. Hyland had taped only four episodes and the series returned with father Dick Van Patten a widower.

I am sorry to hear this. I loved that show back when I was a kid.
I had a major crush on the oldest daughter who died a while back I believe. I cannot remember her name.

That was Lani O'Grady. She died of a drug overdose some years ago.
