I would think, that the longer he waits, and the older the girls get, there will be even less options. Like Jana will be married off to a 55yo widower, with 12 kids of his own, instead of someone closer to her age.

I hate these people, I really do.

I don't agree (in fact i strongly disagree) with their belief system, but it's their choice. I think the right of reproductive autonomy goes both ways, and I'm all for people making their own choices. They can have 30 kids for all I care. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

I'm most curious about when these people actually find the time to fuck, but that's a whole other story.

Sorry, I know we've been round and round with these bitches but how exactly do they pay for 20 kids? Okay, 18 that are actual dependents? They run a "church" so have tax-free status, TLC subsidizes them to an extent but they can't be solely supporting themselves on that, can they? It takes a shitload of $ to raise that many kids.

It's hard, very hard for me to believe they aren't on some sort of pubic assistance...like how do they pay for the hospital bills that they incurred with last baby with all those complications? I'm still reeling from the figures in that other thread about total cost for normal L&D in a hospital, so I'm sure that must have been an astronomical cost. Insurance? How do they pay for that? Who would insure them for anything less than a small fortune?

They claim that they buy everything used and only shop for clothes in thrift stores or at places like Goodwill. I guess they also make money doing appearance fees and things like that. I think that they do motivational speeches, probably for a fee. The house and their living expenses (electric/water bills etc) are probably subsidized by TLC since technically it serves as the "set" of their show. Since none of the kids go to college, they don't have to worry about that, and they also don't have school related expenses for any of them because they don't go to K-12 either. They also probably get six figure deals with magazines for their exclusive interviews and photos.

This is probably a stupid question, but do they get paid for these quickie appearances that they make on the Today Show, like the one they did today? The whole damn bunch of them flew to NYC to be on the show for an appearance that lasted all of 4 minutes. Did NBC pay for all those airline tickets? They must have stayed at a hotel last night? Did NBC pay for that too? Just travel alone for that crew must be a fortune. I can't imagine how much $$ it costs to raise, feed and clothe those kids even if they do get stuff second hand.

Yes, it's your body- do what you want with it. But there has to be a line drawn religion and health of a person/child.

I don't watch their show any way. But this will make me boycott the channel entirely. Why would they support this?

Random News: When I told my sis about this story she told me about a woman whose uterus fell out of her body because she had given birth to many children. Don't have time to google that at he moment, but it seemed fit to share

Yes but those child slaves have to be fed, clothed and insured, and they consume a lot in utilities. And what about when they go anywhere, either by plane or car? I don't care how "cheap" they live, any small amount times 20 has just got to be a staggering amount of money. Fuck them for not using any kind of common sense at the expense of those 20 lives they brought into the world and fuck TLC for subsidizing this crap.
