I feel like it's so unfair to the older girls to basically place the burden of caring for the younger siblings on them. That's not their responsibility. If Michelle and Jim Bob want to have 20+ kids and they can care for them all and provide for them (without public assistance), fine, but that's not what is going on. They're having kids and then passing them off on the older siblings, who are expected to do all the heavy lifting. From what I recall, each older sibling is assigned a "buddy" (baby or toddler) that they are basically responsible for attending to 24/7. I know these kids don't know any different because this is how it's always been for them, but I still feel sorry for them because instead of enjoying their teenage years, they're basically having to experience all of the frustrations and burden of being teen parents despite not even having kids of their own.

Taking care of babies, cooking and cleaning the barracks, is all these girls know how to do. It's all they are trained for. So how are they going to access anything in the outside sinning world?

Well said and so true. It's selfish and narcisstic for Jim Bob and Michelle to keep procreating. She's 44 or 45 years old! She's at higher risk for having a Down's Syndrome child or like with their last one, Josie, putting the innocent baby at risk for potential life-long health issues or learning disabilities.

Now I'm all for the whole children are a gift from God and no child born is ever "mistake" but God also gave people a brain to use common sense! Children are NOT a litter of puppies or kittens. They are humans with feelings, thoughts and needs for one-on-one attention from the parents. The older siblings are NOT parents.

This is irrelevant, but I hate Jim Bob's stupid-ass 1968 side-part hairstyle. He looks like a reject from The Glen Campbell show or something.

What "J" name are they gonna come up with for this one?
