She looks smashing! I thought she had passed away though, whoops
I smile because I have no idea what's going on
I love Doris Day and her movies! I couldn't help but post this clip from the Celluloid Closet (31:15 - 40:23). Starting at 36:24, they talk specifically about gay code in Doris Day's "Delayed-Fuck" movies. Be sure to check out 34:45 for Jane Russell's fantastic "Anyone Here for Love" number, too!
Doris looks so wonderful. She had one of the best figures in movies. She could wear everything and did.
Don't think of it like that Neptunia. She's got a full life with her animals and charities, friends, interests and of course what appears to be good health. It's sad her son is gone but sometimes more than not, chosen family proves to bring
a lot more happiness than a blood relative that never calls or writes.
She sounds exactly like my friend's mom who is 88 - the same era, looks the same, good health and so busy I can't get on her calendar sometimes.
What can I say? We Cincinnati-born old bags age gracefully.![]()

Not dead yet? Yay!!

Yes who is the melted guy?
Jack I swear.
Chalet I think they mean this oompa loompa in the bad piece...

Is that the actor who played the butler on The Nanny (Fran Drescher's tv show)?
Happy 90th DD. Hope you continue to enjoy good health and happy times for a long time to come. Go, Doris!

Yeah, they're talking about the orange guy in the modern photo, not Rock![]()

There'll be times you'll like the cover and that's precisely why you'll love the book
Do it anyway
I loved her even more after that. She has integrity and sticks by her friends.
She looks amazing and absolutely still like herself. I'd know her anywhere.
She had, or still has, I think? a hotel in the Carmel area where you can stay and bring your critters with. She did that before it was fashionable too. My late parents had a kitty they absolutely adored, and when they would go down there for a leisurely weekend they always took the meowhead along. I dunno what he thought of it, but it sure improved their vacation. They met Doris one time and said she was just the kindest, friendliest person.
A lot of people think of her primarily as an actress, but I have a bunch of her old records and let me tell you, she was a peerless vocalist. Such a beautiful, velvety tone and expressive, effortless phrasing. She could handle a wistful torch song like nobody's business. Check out her old recordings if you like vintage pop, she's timelessly great.

I can't decide who is aging better, her or Pam Dawber. Both are inspiring. Doris seems like such a sweetheart. I wish she would get with Betty White and do a little video or something. The beloved old lady cute factor would 'splode.
