Basically he got sent to jail when he was 20 or so for Murder. The state the crime happend in had some law at the time that mean all people in the presece of the crime would be charged. Dog didn't actually shoot anybody. It was his friend, and he apparetley died in his arms (or so Dog says) Then he went to jail for a while. In jail on time an inmate was running across a field to escape and was about to get shot by a guard and Dog said 'No, I'll catch him." And so he ran after him and tackled him. The guard then threw him the cuffs and said "Lock him up, Bounty Hunter". And that's sorta how it started. Blame that damn guard!

At least Dog caught that evil, sadistic rapist Andrew Luster. Nobody could catch that asshole for years...but Dog made it his mission to track him down and arrest him (even though he didn't do that legally)

I've never liked Dog or Beth (I'd shove her tits down her throat and beat her within an inch of her life if she ever came knocking on my fucking door screaming at me). I can't stand watching their show. They're all amped up, calling people names and then once they get them handcuffed, that's when the religion rolls in. And his hard luck story about how he changed his life and he can "help" them change theirs. He's so fucking whacked out - he just never appealed to me in any way.

Having said all that, I do think it's a little messed up that his kid taped him and sold the story. However, from the sounds of that recording, Dog knew they were trying to tape him other times, so it wasn't very smart of him to continue to run his mouth.

And yeah, I certainly wouldn't want my personal conversations aired for all to hear.

I wish people were getting worked up about the whole situation, not just the N-word. The N-word is only the tip of what is foul here.

- He's so hateful that he clings to his 'right' to say that terrible term, so much so that he bans people who might be offended by it.
- He's so uneducated that he thinks its perfectly okay to use the N-word and disassociate it from its historical reference.
- He'd tell his own son that he can't live in his house or work for him all because he's dating a black girl.
- Which means he is not only racist, but a terrible father as well.

Who gives a fuck if the conversation was private?? At this stage I'm not interested in the privacy of someone who clearly has racist tendencies.

As for people coming to his defense, well, sigh...what can I say, other than I'm not really surprised seeing that all sorts of latent racist shit gets said on this board, which after years of being here I have gotten use to. His defense by certain board members is probably a reflection of their own actions and opinions regarding black people.

And then people naively ask why is there still racism and why do black people take everything so personal etc. LOL. Clearly if you have people still holding on to these racist ideals and people not seeing anything wrong with it, going so far as to defend them, then of course there will be sensitivity regarding the issue of race.

I'm also wondering why this private conversation was leaked to the public.

I'm going to be slammed for saying this, but why should I care if he's racist? If he were treating black people poorly IRL because of his views then I would think he's disgusting. But there are so many racist people out there - of all races - that I'm just not shocked by it anymore. You'd be surprised what people will say in the confines of their own home. I honestly could care less what his personal views/opinions are, as long as he keeps socially unacceptable opinions to himself. He's such a non-entity to me that I can't work myself up to be offended by this.

Also, I haven't listened to the tape, so this may not apply at all, but how do we know that he's racist? He could just object to interracial relationships. There are a lot of people who object to interracial relationships for cultural reasons.
