Ok 2 things, firstly.....since when has a bounty hunter been a bastion of public morality - let alone a hero or someone to aspire to. Its as though mercenaries should be a part of the hero worship cycle.

I find the fact that he is being held up to scrutiny in a light that removes him half a degree from the scum he collects as an aspiration to be a bigger joke than he is - Racist = Bad.....there is no difference no matter who you are

I feel bad about this. I love watching that show, and I really like his message and how into god he is. I haven't listened to the tape (couldn't get it to play). I was hoping the tape was really old. The fact that his son baited him is really fucked up.

I think taping people during private conversations with family, especially when they are angry, is equally revolting.
I agree, PB. I don't think any of us would want our most private (especially in the heat of anger moments) recorded and broadcast to the world, whether they included racist remarks or not. It isn't like racial epithets are the only, or even worst, things that can come out of peoples' mouths. I think telling your kid "I hate you!" is pretty revolting and so is"I wish you had never been born!" along with other choice words and phrases people could say to their loved ones when in a very emotionally heated argument. Sometimes (and I'm speaking generally, not necessarily about Dog here) when people are in battle they will deliberately say the most hurtful, meanest things they can think of simply to wound the other person and they can say things whether they mean it or not if their objective is to wound the other person. For instance, I really could not care less about someone's attractiveness or appearance, but once I had this big conflict with this acquantence who is 220+ pounds and I ranted to our mutual friend about what a slovenly greasy fat pig she was. It really wasn't her weight that I had the issue with at all, but it is something I knew she was self-conscious about and I felt she had betrayed me, so I just lashed out with the meanest below the belt things I could think of. I wouldn't want other overweight people I know to have heard that and think that I feel that way about them because really I don't.

I have always thought the show sucked and the entire family seems to be truly screwed up in various ways. The fact that he has so many kids that all hate him speaks loudly to me of the type of person he really is. The law applies to everybody but him.

The son, said to be named Tucker, did the right thing. His girlfriend was being insulted and demeaned because of the color of her skin. No ther reason was given! Her skin does not make her trash! Who cares if this was a private conversation? He had no reason to say what he did.

He point blank said he did not want a black person around because they would not like being unable to say that disgusting word? That is the biggest crock of shit I have ever head.

Reach out to Al Sharpton all you want. No black person with even the most minimal of brain waves listens to a damn thing he says. Don't bother with Jesse Jackson either. They are all undercover assholes with disgusting latent reasons for their actions.

I watch his show, but it's mainly to snicker at Beth.

The fact that he came out with these racial slurs doesn't surprise me at all.

BTW. how is it that Mutt Chapman was released from the biker gang he used to be a member of? I was under the impression that once you became a member of some of those gangs, you were a member for life.

Maybe his some of his former gang members were beginning to find him embarrassing?!

Dog the Bounty Hunter is apologizing for his hate-filled speech.

After A&E suspended production on his show, the N-word loving star issued the following statement Wednesday night:

“My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term. I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people – who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred. I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world.
