That is why it is so sad to see her on such a fast downward spiral. She is pissing it all away with the drugs and her deadbeat husband. Has she been a Britney (with no singing skills) it would not be so sad to see her in the position she is in. But the fact is that she has some insane talent. And she doesn't seem to care.

I listened. Not impressed. A colleague of mine in NYC who is completely unknown has a voice that would blow you away. Every time we do a show, she floors me. She's also smart, funny, compassionate, plays the guitar, is a wordsmith, is adorable, but she's floundering in obscurity.

Winehouse isn't the WORST I've heard, but she's overrated. She's a retread. Meh.

Totally agree. Britney is nasty because she truly does not give a crap. She's a lazy, disgusting beast because she cant be bothered. ANd I think she's happy in her deluded way.

But Amy is just tragic. She's like she is because shes in a helluva lot of pain. Thats what I see when more pics like this surface. Shes using and binging and purging and cutting because she's trying in her own crazy way to make that pain stop, but she's just making it worse.

And I mean, she kinda cares right? Her bra is clean and new. Her skin looks clean. Her jeans look clean (for once). No sores or anything. So shes' sort of trying.

If she could get off the drugs, she'd be great. Thats what I dont get about her. When I was in a really bad place, and help and treatment was offfered to me, I bawled and accepted it gladly. I was terrified, but relived to finally be getting help. Thats what I dont get about Amy. Why isnt she?

I know this is totally uncharacteristic of me.. I mean, I'm about to be nice.. *shudder*... but maybe since Amy's so publicly scrutinized it makes it harder for her... she has to live out her struggle with addictions in the public eye, all the while the subject of judgement and criticism, so perhaps she's afraid of getting help lest she fail and give her critics (or worse, whatever fans she hasn't offended) more reason to hate her.

That's ridiculous. There are hundreds of thousands of great talents who haven't been and never will be discovered. That's no reason to say that Amy is not talented, because she is. Stupid, but talented.

Because she is still chasing her high......a whole lot of addicts enjoy the lifestyle and the high and all the dysfunction that goes with it.....not all addicts get straight......

Does it seem to anyone else that the UK justice system is much less strict than in the US? I mean, Pete Dohtery and his zillion Get out of Jail free cards. And whoever commented about how Amy would have been arrest in the US for this is right. At the very least, she'd have been admitted for psych evaluation for wandering around in public in this state.

As far as I am concerned they are both skanky bitches. So what if one has more talent than the other, they are both throwing their careers away by being addicts. They have had various opportunities to get themselves clean and chosen not too. I don't feel sorry for either one of them. I feel sorry for their families and loved ones who have to witness their public disgrace.

We are only seeing photos of her coming down times, not the flying high ones. Addicts do drugs because that is what addicts do, it isn't surprising, and talented addicts are no different than talentless addicts.

Here in the U.S.? Where several DUI's earn starlets 80 minutes in jail????? Legal systems are all alike.....money buys justice.....
