^^I'm the same way, I HATE it when the replace lead characters. Just kill them off for God's sake!
And I have to admit that The Mummy is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine, but without Weisz and the other actors from the first two films who won't be returning, this movie is going to tank.

I hate it when an actor/actress decides not to come back to a show or movie to reprise their role and they are replaced with a different actor (I.E. Maggie Gyllenhaal replacing Katie Holmes in 'Dark Knight')

I know it may not seem like a big deal for some but I find it quite distracting! Because then rather than pay attention to and enjoy the movie I am comparing the differences between the actors, etc...

Except err...Maggie can actually act, so IMO she'll make a much better Rachel Dawes than Krazy KatE Crui$e.

And I don't anyone will really notice. You could replace Katie with Folger's Crystals, and you'd still get a better performance.

Seriously, I hate these artsy fartsy full of themselves celebuturds who think they are above a role. Rachel ain't exactly the box office queen and she should know that one day you're hot and have roles, next day you're a has been. Hollywood is littered with these has beens who would die to have any movie role, let alone one that would have a great chance of box office success.

Why do y'allz think Harrison Ford did Indiana Jones? Or better yet, Vin Diesel with fast and furious 4? Tom cruise in MI4? Anyone seen the majority of the cast of the American pie series in any movies lately?

Plus she has a young child. Once you have a kid everything changes. She might not be a huge draw at the box office but I doubt she is hurting for money either. Especially seeing as her fiancée is a film director/producer.
