Did Katie Holmes fake the NY Marathon and have someone else run it for her?

I don't think we've seen every single minute of a long race have we? Maybe she is actually sweating in some of the pics? And from what I've heard, some stars have surgery to inhibit their sweat glands so as not to look less than perfect under hot lights. I can see uber-control meister Tom insisting on that.

As I said before, I don't know either way. I'm keeping an open mind.

^^^ Yeah, Its fairly routine for celebs and top models to have Botox injected into their underarms to not sweat, especially for major events.

BUT Botox injections dont stop the sweating on the face. There isn't a cure for that IMO.

And about the puking thing. Lots of marathon runners eat lots of carbs before the race and often throw up when they finish because of the build up lactic acid which causes nausea. It happened to me once after a major workout - yuk. Nothing to do with Katie (because she didn't run a marathon LOL) but pretty gross. I remember a TV crew homing in on the winner of a London marathon once and asking "how do you feel"? to which she replied with a deluge of puke. Lovely.

Edit: And you sweat all over your body - not just the pits, face, wherever. Look at her body - there's enough in clear view - her clothing isn't even damp and her skin looks totally matt. That woman has NOT just run a marathon but I'm happy to be proved wrong.

I also find it passing strange that if she really didn't run it, that the New York papers aren't all over this. It's a no-brainer for the New York Post and yet nary a peep. I just did an Internet search and unless I missed something major, I turned up nada.

It does not seem to be about openmindedness, it seems there really is no evidence to support it. Hinky is what comes to mind, TBH.

There isn't any hard evidence to disprove it either. As for the sweat on her face, maybe pristine Miss Katie wiped it frequently. None of us REALLY knows. Again, where are the New York papers on this burning issue if it is so obvious?

There were thousands of people running and many more watching. Surely someone saw something and would have blabbed by now.

I hear you loud and clear. You say she ran it, I say no way.

COS people have covered up stuff way bigger than this, in my opinion, and will continue to do so. There are reasons why COS has gotten away with being crazy and cultish. Seems to me they have some invisible power. They use it.

As for the evidence, she is not flush at all. I do not buy the excuse she wiped her face repeatedly. Have you ever done any activity for 30 min and your scalp sweats? Your hair stays wet for a while.

You didn't address why no one in a crowd of many thousands noticed that she didn't run it. Surely the Co$ didn't pay thousands of strangers off to keep quiet. This to me is a key piece of evidence, at the very least it raises reasonable doubt.

Well, to wax on why someone has not come forward, how about we go about that a different angle.

We do not know that someone has not come forward only to be shut down. From what I understand of the COS is that bully, coerce, bribe, and even kill in order to keep things on a certain appearance.

I get that you want to play devils advocate, so with that stance, please feel free to do it with yourself. Better yet, maybe someone else will come along and take up the cause. I do not really want to argue any point, as this is not a court of law nor a deposition for a grand jury, so the facts are always going to be subject to opinion.

It's possible that someone has been paid off but New York is different than Hollywood. It's not so star crazy for one thing, and Tom Cruise doesn't wield anywhere near so much power there. Neither does Scientology. I still say it would be difficult for her to hide the fact that she didn't run it -- I mean Rosie Ruiz nearly got away with it, but she wasn't anywhere near as famous or recognizable as Katie Holmes.

I'm putting forth theories, just the same as you and others. I have no interest in depositions, courts or grand juries -- that's kind of an odd statement. Again, like you, I WASN'T THERE. And I'm not playing devil's advocate, which is a way of discounting my opinion without actually saying so. Would you say that to someone who was AGREEING with you? Doubtful. Yet their theories could be just as questionable.

If she is proven not to have run it, then I am happy to say my theories were wrong. It's no biggie.

We haven't had many thousands of people saying she DID run it either. This story is out there now and I haven't read reports quoting people who were there confirming they saw her at Mile 4, 9, 14, etc etc. If she really was going to do it the Co$ publicity machine would have been all over the whole thing from start to finish and yet we all have are some 'unofficial' pics of her at the end of the race, a few PR shots of her in a death grip from Tom at Mile 18 and not much else.
