Sad...can't say I liked DW - found it shrill and didactic, but Meshach could let the air out of those bombastic scripts with his great timing. He and Alice Ghostley were the best things about the show.

Oh my goodness I loved him as Anthony how terribly sad and the part about his 100 year old mother. Ah so sad.
I googled his name trying to find videos of my favorite Designing Women scenes and only one outlet is reporting that he passed away, the others are reporting that he is terminally ill or on his death bed.
"unfortunate incarceration" always made me laugh too, Anthony and Suzanne were a match made in...somewhere. Haven't seen the show in ages so I'm not sure how it holds up, but I did love it back in the day. And I totally forgot about Mannequin until I read this thread. RIP if that's not too premature. I'll remember him as a funny funny guy with great comedic timing.

Oh no.
This one hits hard. Designing Women and Mannequin were an essential part of my pop culture consumption.

Yep he was funny as hell on Designing women. Loved it when he and Suzanne were in cahoots.
Designing Women reruns come on Logo.. I loved that show! If the Thomas' had the balls they would have been outright with Anthony and Suzanne's affair!! RIP!

I don''t know if she really fucked the board though. Maybe just put the tip in. -Mrs. Dark
The part about his 100-year-old mom got me, too. Such a shame -- 67 is still young. RIP. I think I need to see if Designing Women is on Netflix.
In case there are any classic General Hospital fans out there, Meshach's wife was Bianca Ferguson who played Claudia. They married in 1983. I bet they were a nice couple.
